Amazing service and a gorgeous hotel. We loved being right on campus. Highly recommend!

Welcoming staff, and great view made the visit memorable!!

The cooling disappointed us at night, as if it became less responsive. It was fine when we were up. The weather was hot. The bathroom is too small for current standards. USB ports worked. View from floor 6 was very nice.

Went for a university tour and was really impressed by the Statler. Must visit

Excellent food and service. However, couch in room was poorly designed and very uncomfortable. Comforter on the bed was too heavy for warmer weather unless A/C was on full blast.

Very friendly and professional staff.

I booked a room here because it was the closest location to the equine Hospital that I had to take my sick horse to. All the staff at the hotel was extremely considerate at a such a traumatic time for me!

Great location for Cornell

My experience here was nothing short of exceptional! There are dining options all around and convenient to all my reunion events. Everything about the facility was immaculate and still looked like it was brand new! I love the fresh brewed complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings as well as the mini muffins. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always ensured your needs are met. My only minor complaint is that there was no shuttle to take guests to the downtown area. Not a big deal but maybe they could hire students to run a shuttle to the downtown area during reunions as there are more dining options there.

I stayed here as my last night in Ithaca after my son’s graduation from the hotel school. The morning we were to leave (and drive 16 hours across the country) the hotel did not have hot water. I understand they were having a maintenance issue but the service recovery was nonexistent. I was told, “sorry for the inconvenience.” I was not offered any sort of compensation. A hotel needs to provide 2 services - a bed and a functioning bathroom. I could not sit around and wait for the hot water to be fixed so I took a FREEZING shower. At checkout neither desk staff mentioned the water or asked about my stay. As I left I told them I was very unhappy about their response to the water and one of the 2 male staff members literally smirked at me. This was at 8:30 am on May 27th if Statler management wanted to identify the smirker, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. Pretty poor service from the school of hospitality - my son was embarrassed when I told him about my experience. He has worked at the Statler as well.

Not worth the price, especially when the people next to us were students screaming, drinking and yelling.

An iconic hotel, owned by Cornell University School of Hotel Management, that is used by the School to provide on-the-job training to students. The rooms and bathrooms are excellent, and the breakfast and dinner at the flagship restaurant, Taverna Banfi, is first rate.

Few universities have a hotel on campus and this is a great located in the heart of Cornell’s campus

Its a family favorite & our first choice when we go every year. Delicious food at Taverna Banfi, clean, spacious rooms, spectacular views & campus access are unbeatable.
