Rude standoffish service during check in. Concierge and a woman who appeared to be a manger neither welcoming nor responsive to guests standing right in front of the service desk. The general mood from both was "what do you want, you are inconveniencing me." They failed to point out hotel amenities, the swimming pool in particular which was not located in an obvious spot as in most hotels.
In contrast, the young lady with whom I checked out was exemplary with her attitude and service.
Paid parking in a downtown hotel is unacceptable particularly when staying more than one night.
Fortunately there are many other choices in the downtown Salt Lake City area and I intend to seek them out on my next trip there.
