This is a great hotel. The staff is really friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet.

We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderful. Staff, breakfast and service was excellent. We will certainly stay here the next time we come to Karlstad. Also interesting history of the former prison and well designed museum. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel. Dinner was fine but not so impressed by breakfast. Would have preferred a smaller choice in breakfast menu with a higher bread quality.

Easy to find. Nice location. Easy parking. Rooms are small but it it's a historic building. We were offered a good upgrade. They serve a free buffet in the evening of good local food.

An excellent hotel. Close to everything. Staff was very accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and very quiet. This building used to be a prison, and they have kept the prison motif. Very historic. Breakfast buffet was ok. Not a huge selection, but adequate, and food was prepared nicely. I would stay again and would recommend this property.

It's an old prison and quite quirky. The standard rooms are small and on thr top floor a bit warm in summer, but there is a fan provided. The ropms and general hotel are of high quality.

It was disappointing that the room was very small at a very high price. In addition it was not possible to switch on the TV in the room.

Central spot to meet local relatives and explore area. Enjoyed free breakfast and free dinner included. Would definitely stay here again. Loved the jail history too. Added character.

Rent rom

Förutom det fina hotellet fanns intressant historia om fängelset inkl ett litet museum med bevarade celler. Om jag måste hitta room for improvment så är det de trånga p-rutorna på innergården.
