Great hotel, would have rated 5 stars but we stayed there on a Monday - restaurants closed, limited dinner options in the bar lounge. Long wait for everything. Beverage prices excessive for the quality (e.g., Grauburgunder by the glass @ EUR 11/100ml would have to be remarkable; the wine on offer was of low complexity, flat, not fresh)

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff was amazing. We arrived late at night and the staff was so helpful with everything. I wish I could have stayed another day!

Grand old Hotel, close to all facilities.

Great hotel. Awesome staff, bar, pool, sauna and overall environment. Elevator seemed a bit shaky as we got stuck in it multiple times and had to press the floor button a couple of times to get it to let us out. The only real complaint was that the pillows were really too soft (I know right) but it was like there was nothing to support my head while sleeping so they were way to soft with no support. Woke up feeling like I had whiplash because of the lack of support. Minor complaint I suppose. Overall great stay and would recommend.

Fantastic place and amazing service. Friendly, worked with us as foreigners in their country for the first time, and bent over backwards taking care of us. Highly recommend it. Also, LOVE the lady that cleaned our room and took care of us…like a loving mother.

Very nice hotel in a great location with easy access to Celle. We stayed Monday night, a bit unfortunate, as their supposedly very good restaurant is closed Mondays. At arrival we were given an “upgrade” though it seemed more was a “downgrade” from the room type we had booked. Very strange. But quickly fixed. Otherwise all good and friendly service.

Arrived early evening having only just placed my booking 20 mins earlier! Was greeted by very friendly and helpful receptionist who carried all my bags to my room in old part of hotel. The room was beautiful and comfortable with very lovely furnishings and it had a nice creaky floor! The receptionist put the heating on which instantly started working and there was underfloor heating in the bathroom. Bed and bedding was very clean and comfortable and the room was so quiet. I ate in the their Italian restaurant and the menu offered interesting options and the meal was exceptional. After a sound nights restful sleep I enjoyed an incredible breakfast in palatial surroundings - there was even champagne on offer! The staff at this hotel couldn’t have been more helpful and if I ever pass this way again I would certainly try and book this hotel.

I liked the little garden in front of the hotel where one could sit under trees and have a nice meal.

Lovely Hotel , but getting a little dated, Good Staff and Service Breakfast is continental style don't expect a full English, and it is not cheap Order food for evening meal well in advance as restaurant is popular with locals All round a nice place to stay I would stay again, but if you want value for money look else ware

Lovely property. My room was a little tired with a loud air on box but comfortable bed.

Everything was first rate: staff, room, food, location, quiet, truly deserving 5 stars.

Great 5 star hotel with excellent customer service, ambience and close to city center, famous Castle and transports.

The hotel is beautiful. The main floor is gorgeous . Old style architecture wrapped around aa very nice bar. Plenty of comfortable chairs. The breakfast was very good but a little pricey. My room was in the old part of the hotel. Small pretty room with fairly low ceilings. I felt like I had to duck my head all the time. The biggest complaint was there was no AC. I had a fan in my room. The last 2 nights I was there I had the window open and the fan on. it was still a sticky, uncomfortable nights sleep. Not what I would expect from a fancy hotel. If you book someone there, check to make sure the room has AC.
