Our go to hotel when we come to Cheboygan

Beautiful view of the river. Hotel is run down, whoever painted the rooms made a mess of the paint job. Patio chairs are rotted thru. Tub is stained floors not very clean. Mold in the crack of thr ceiling. But beautiful view of the river. Nice helpful staff.

Loved that we could walk out the patio door and have access to fishing the Cheboygan river. Huge bonus for us!

If that wasn’t the only choice that I had, I would not have stayed there for the money that I paid

Not a good hotel, its very outdated and not clean.Staff was friendly but the hotel is in a bad shape.Neighbourhood is safe, its more like a cheap motel.

This was a good value and the staff was helpful and friendly.

It was great for the price

The hotel is good for a night or two to get some sleep but they don't have much to offer. Very old out dated rooms, with stained carpet. Minimal amenities. I wasn't supposed to be charged for my room until check in but was charged at least 4 hours before I arrived.

The Internet went out on Saturday night. It was still out on Sunday. I had to go to McDonald's to use their Internet and submit my time sheet for work! The fan in the bathroom worked intermittently. They need to powerwash the exterior of the building. It was covered in spiders and webbing. Yuck. There is a breakfast area, but no actual breakfast is served. It's not terrible. But the level of service is a bit sketchy

I found the carpet had staines on them even as a pet friendly room. The bathroom wall was not wiped clean. The bedsheet appeared to be small for the bed The owner was friendly Water is not drinkable

This hotel is in a great location. All of the rooms face the Cheboygan River and have a patio or balcony. It was very peaceful sitting outside. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel appears to be family run. The hospitality was outstanding. These were some of the friendliest people I have dealt with at a hotel in a long time, which makes it difficult to prepare the next part of my review. The issue lies with the cleanliness. The sheets in my room were clearly not changed. There was a brown stain on one of the pillows, and the sheets and pillowcases had an abundance of hair on them. This was promptly corrected when brought to the attention of management. The toilet was dirty and the bathtub had a visible ring of soap scum and the floor was black. The countertops and other surfaces in the room were extremely dusty. The amount of dust and grime all over the room made it evident that housekeeping is not a top priority here. The amount of accumulation in the toilet, shower, and other places was clearly not from just one guest. I ended up going to Walmart across the street and purchasing some bathroom cleaner, a scrub brush, and some sanitizing wipes. $7 and 30 minutes of scrubbing/wiping later, and my room was now more habitable. Normally I would have turned around and left, but the only other option in town is the Best Western next door for an additional $90/night.

The way this hotel is presented makes it look beautiful. Until you get there. There are spiders all over the building you can’t even walk in the door without a spider crawling on the handle. The bedrooms were supposed to be a double queen room. They were full size beds. Which turned out horrible because there was 4 of us. The owner tried to tell us they were queen size beds but we measured and they are not. The room itself has stains on the sheets and the bottle that stained it was still under the bed. The towels are dark and the shower was still dirty! There were giant spider webs all in the room. We were supposed to get a downstairs room with a walk out to a dock but we were up stairs which was horrible for my 73 year old mother in law. This was suppose to be a nice hotel I feel like y’all need to take your pictures down and go there and take real pictures I also have pictures taken I’m just not sure how to post them. I wish I could get a refund for the huge inconvenience this was. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

One of the nicer hotels in this area.

The only good thing was the location right on the river. But the dock was dangerous. The air unit was so loud it kept us up all night. There was only one night stand and one lamp in the entire room. The bedding was comfy and clean. The toilet was loose. The coffee pot was too dirty to use. I am very surprised that this hotel would be recommended by Expedia. I trusted them until now.

Rooms need thorough cleaning

Nice outdoor deck off of all upper rooms, friendly and attentive staff, quiet, lots of parking.

The property owners are working hard to rehabilitate the hotel/inn. They are attentive and present and willing to help with any needs. The rooms all have a patio that faces out to a beautiful waterway to watch boats go by and enjoy sitting outside in privacy. Please don’t pass this location by!
