Nice place to stay near WWII Landing Sites

Nice hotel in a central location to normandy landmarks. Limited options for evening meal. Large variety of breakfast options.

All excellent, the small staff team worked very hard to make things work and meet our needs. However, the lack of a proper catering service was a real problem.

Great hotel for a night stay close to motorway and Caen City centre and lovely very helpful staff.

The only thing i wasnt happy about was the cost of the breakfast. I just wanted a croissant and coffee and wasn't prepared to pay 19 euros for that! I thought there should have been more options.

Mercure Heuroville-St.Claire staff was great and very helpful. The restaurant was quite good but a very limited menu. Breakfast was excellent! Our room was okay but too hot after the whole hotel AC was turned off. We had no way to just run the fan or open a window. It was also in an industrial area that we will avoid if we return to the Caen area.

We booked the Mercure as they are usually lovely, however this hotel is definitely not worthy of its four stars. The hotel room was spacious but it was filthy. Spiders webs, dead spiders, dirty toilet, mould everywhere in the bathroom on the tiles and green stains on the wall/wallpaper in the room, where product has been poured down it and not cleaned… It is outdated and does not reflect the hotel’s images at all ! Really disappointing and waste of money.

Wonderful stay, pleasant and polite staff

Very clean and modern. Beds were super comfy and staff was friendly.

Overpriced. Grumpy receptionist. Strange musty smell throughout hotel. No air con. Restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating however.

Outside of town but good location if you come by car and want to visit some Normandie beaches. Nice bathroom with good water pressure but only one bath towel in a double room - we had to ask for one for the second person. Very dark room, only small high level window, cause there is an ugly roof going up until far, dark carpet. No minibar/fridge. This is more like a 3 star room to me.

Bedroom smelt musty and needed a good airing. Hotel is located on the edge of an industrial estate so not a very nice area - fine if you're on local business but no good if you want any choice of food other than the hotel restaurant. Bar and restaurant OK and the staff quite friendly - certainly better than the rude, brusk reception staff.
