One elevator not working so there was only one

Great Location! Breakfast was excellent with made-to-order selections. Our server, Fabiola, was courteous with excellent customer service. The hotel seemed dated, and the rooms were very small with terrible lighting. The rooms were dark.

Nous avons du payer un extra pour le parking de l'hôtel, ce qui est très décevant sachant le prix de la chambre. La moitié des lumières ne fonctionnaient pas et les prises du côté gauche non plus. Le coin était bruyant et le service pas terrible voir même bête. Nous avons été très déçu de notre expérience. Ceci dit, la chambre était très propre et la salle de bain était confortable.

The location is excellent and the staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Not right downtown but only a 10 minute walk to the city center, in a nice area right on the harbour with shopping and dining relatively close. Room was adequate but only 1 chair is provided. We asked three different staff for a second chair and 3 times were told that the order of chairs had not come in yet - not sure I believed them. We were in the hotel for several days and sometimes you need a break during the day. Having 1 person have to use the bed to sit on is not an ideal option. Other than that, the location was good, the staff were helpful and the hotel was clean.

There were a lot of problems between unhelpful staff & the musty dingy smell in my room.. but the straw that broke the camels back was my coffee machine in my room didnt work from the start, i had just driven 5 hours on the highway to get to my room couldnt even have a cup of coffee.. & when I brought it up with the staff they attempted to keep my $250 damage depo & didnt even replace the coffee maker.. don't book a room here even if you have no other choice .. tried to do something nice for myself & the result was a feeling of loss..

Breakfast at little Sparo was fabulous Room was terrible, very depressing, not sure why we had a handicap room, asked for harbour view, even though we booked 3 months in advance , & gave us parking lot view! Staff was just ok, not too helpful regarding any enquires we had about the area. Wouldn’t stay at Doubletree again!

Don't like carpets in rooms for sanitary reasons prefer vinyl floor or other similar flooring

It was totally fine.

The harbour view from this hotel is superior to many other hotels in St. John's as you can see out the narrows. The included breakfast vouchers were not given to us when we checked in and I had to go request them. There were a few minor maintenance issues with the shower and the room wasn't entirely cleaned before we arrived as there was a dry cleaning receipt and a pair of shoes in the wardrobe in the room. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, and the staff were generally excellent.

Breakfast choices were limited and expensive. Not all are single business travellers. We are two vacationers. Two luggage racks and two comfortable chairs would be nice.

Reception staff could be hit and miss. Room cleaning staff were excellent. Having the bar and restaurant run as a franchise is not ideal. Limited opening hours were restrictive.

Pleasant stay in a good location. Harbour views were amazing, good coffee shop close by. A perfect spot for our visit to the area.

Fung Chu was very helpful with checking in our party of 4. Excellent customer service. The room was clean and the location was convenient. Enough parking.
