Upon checking in, we waited in a lobby-full of people just to get into our room. Once we started unpacking our belongings and started trying to settle, we found brown/yellow clumps all over the bedding and the tv did not work. They moved us rooms, next to the boiler room, and was hot throughout the duration of the stay (this with setting the room temp to 66 and still insufficient) once settled into this room we continued to smell pockets of smoke and pee, and after the first night was all we were smelling. Included in our first day being packed with switching rooms and inconvenience after inconvenience, we got ready to go down to the pool to switch up the chaos.. the pool was closed during the hottest time of year due to someone’s child feces being in it… The breakfast bar was not stocked throughout the hours, and so my kids and I went without breakfast some mornings due to lack of options. There was a promo being offered at check-in where you could sign up for the rewards membership and if stayed 4+ consecutive nights, offered a two free night stay. We were in a position where we needed to utilize our 2 nights, since we had booked for a 6 day stay…. I spent a full day on the phone with reservations & rewards as well as hotel mgmt trying to book us our two free nights and was met with complete run-around each time, in the end being told I would not be able to use until 2-4 weeks after our checkou… the manager shrugged this all off at check out saying it was an Expedia problem
