The reception didn't find my booking when I checked in and have to argue about this issue, Luckily I've printed the confirmation booking from the app to show my booking. Finally they gave the room to me for stay and I asked why she didn't find my booking in system of their computer. She told me that her colleague has forgotten to key in the booking in the system. This is how the work of 5 stars hotel? Unbelievable.

I stayed a few nights at the Garden Hotel Guangzhou while on a business stop in the big city. Reception was ok. Concierge failed to bring my luggage; finally the receptionist brought my luggage-- very nice of her. Room was terribly small; a significant area of the room was occupied by a big white elephant-- namely a huge bath tub (yes in the main room). There was some kind of dust or chemicals in the air that caused me to have severe sneezing, no response from hotel. Concierge most of the time was unhelpful, unpleasant, or even impolite. Bed mattress was very soft and uncomfortable. It was difficult to use my laptop as the sofe was too low, the chair was unmanageable. Upon checking out, I stressed to the concierge to be sure the taxi driver understood I am going to Terminal @ of the airport (Taxi drivers do not speak English). Taxi driver dropped me off at Terminal 1, I suffered severe back pain for 2 days from handling my luggage and taking a shuttle (lifting the luggage up and down) etc. Conclusion, Garden Hotel Guangzhou is no longer the start of the city's hotels.

I had the most wonderful hospitality by Ms. Daniela Zang & Mr. Brian Ding, perfectly they made my days more enjoyable staying in The Garden Hotel Guangzhou. I arrived to the hotel around 8 in the morning and they provided me early check in around 9 am. I thought one day is enough to stay here, but because of their warm services I extended my room for two nights. Really recommended hotel in Guangzhou, I will definitely stay there again and will become permanent member of this hotel.

The hotel is nice, clean, plus the food around the hotel is tasty and cheap.
