Bed was too soft and pillows were worse. You should have a mix of pillow types. Maybe the mattresses need to be replaced. Room was otherwise quiet and comfortable.

My husband has been to this hotel briefly for work trips and shared how much he enjoys the hotel and being so close to the downtown square, so when the chance arrived to take a couples trip, I knew where I wanted to go. The hotel is a great mix of Santa Fe culture with a modern twist in the lobby/bar area. We loved being able to come back to the room and enjoy a fire or the balcony (especially at sunset! so pretty!!) I was pleasantly surprised that I slept so well in the beds, the pillows looked flat but I found them very comfy when stacked. All the staff was friendly. Great location to be within walking distance of the Plaza Square or down to the Railyard area. My in-laws have also stayed here with their dog before and loved it.

The room at this property was dated. The fixtures and furniture was worn. We paid for a balcony and it was so small it was unusable. The sower had no pressure and all you could hear all night was toilets flushing. It is in a nice area but for the price paid there are better alternatives in the area.

The rooms still have popcorn ceilings. Stains on furniture and outdated dusty window covering. It needs a uplift. It just didnt have a comfortable feel. Staff was understanding and refunded my reservation and canceled without penalty.

A number of lights were out. We requested they be replaced. We stayed three nights, and they never replaced the burned-out bulbs. They have no luggage carts, and you have to carry all of your bags to your room. The desk in our room had literally been carved with a knife. I assume for kindling for the fireplace. They have no prices posted for their concessions, I got a pint of milk, actually only 14 ounces. The receptionist never mentioned the price. When I got my room bill, they charged me $6.49 for it. Thats $60 a gallon! If they need money that badly. I won't be back.

This is an ok hotel. But no more that 3 star. I would be more positive at a lower price point. The safe door hangs open and I ran my leg into it twice till I finally shoved a folded magazine under the table so it would swing shut. The tv was inop so while we were out maintenance fixed it but left the very large cabinet out in the room. My wife and I together managed to push it back against the wall. The “resort fee” is $70 a day I think that’s for parking? No way to plug in your phone/ipad on one side of the bed. The room was clean, water hot. If this was a holiday inn I would not complain.

On the first day, the light bulb was blown when I walked into my room, my room key card stopped working because the door lock battery died. We had to wait outside of the room for engineering to come and recharge the battery. The phone was visibly unsanitary and did not work for over 24hrs even though we reported it twice to the front desk AND the manager. The phone was eventually fixed but house keeping never cleaned it. I showed a pic of the unsanitary phone to the manager who agreed. I was not offered compensation, an upgrade or even a bottle of extra water for the inconveniences. No one answers the front desk phone after certain hours. The manager was disappointing. Do not expect excellent service. The carpet is tattered and very, very dirty on the fourth floor. The hotel itself is beautiful. The valet staff gave the best service in the entire hotel. It’s honestly a shame management isn’t formally trained in hospitality or just doesn’t care. I called Expedia who attempted to help and offered me 50.00 in key cash that has yet to be applied. Expedia also said they’d respond back to me within 72hrs after speaking with the hotel manager but never called me back.

The worker who lights the fires (Carlos?) Is a great staff member. Some overnight front desk help seemed bothered and inpatient with guests. The cleaning team is wonderful and sweet. We love heritage and this hotel but the aging of the properties is becoming more obvious, rugs are old and stained. The hotel should also consider having the restaurant and bar open later. The pool area is nice but a lawsuit waiting to happen in the winter, tile was insanely icy and there were no caution signs up.

Customer service there was horrible. We asked for firewood for our room and nobody ever showed up. The front desk never answered the phone. The next morning when I tried to make coffee with the in room provided Keurig, it was broken so I went down to the restaurant to get 3 cups of coffee. I explained that my coffee maker was broken and needed coffee and they tried to charge me for it. I said to the lady at the restaurant that even though my coffee maker was broken you are going to charge me for coffee? and she said "Yes" and wanted $5 per cup. My wife and I like to come to Santa Fe for weekend getaways and we like staying at the Eldorado but it may be time for a change as the last few times, the customer service has been poor.

Great location! Hotel rooms are a bit dated. Really appreciated the faux wood floors in the room, but unfortunately they were filthy-actually sticky in spots.

When we finally went to our room after trying to get something to eat at the hotel, which we were not able to due to the small restaurant was booked and there was a New Year's Eve party at 8pm, we were overwhelmed by the smoke and heat on our floor, which featured a large terrace shared by many rooms with only double doors opening onto it, no security no screen door so you could open it...We checked out and were told to have Expedia call to refund us. Expedia said the hotel was not cooperate .
