Perfect location, friendly staff, "old school" charm with eco friendly and impeccably decorated and equipped rooms. Will definitely stay here again for business or leisure.

Staff is wonderful, room is extra nice. The only issue was a bit of noise from nearby construction during the day, but not the fault of the hotel. Really enjoyed my stay here!

My partner and I wanted to treat ourselves to a night at a luxury hotel and watch a theatre show, The Rathbone did not disappoint, very nice feel to the place, clean, smells very good inside, Vasco was extremely welcoming and helpful, we will definitely be back next time we're in town, highly recommend.

Comfortable hotel in a great location. Our room had recently been refurbished which was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Vanessa on reception was great and made sure my wife's kindle was returned to us after we left it behind.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is incredibly convenient — close to everything yet tucked away enough to feel safe and quiet. I felt very comfortable walking around the area, even in the evenings, which was a big plus. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They really made me feel welcome and taken care of. The amenities were also excellent. Great AC which as we’ve learned you should not take for granted in Europe! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a safe, convenient place to stay with great service and all the amenities you could need. I look forward to coming back!

Upshot: Friendly staff but I would not stay here again. The hotel is in a wonderful area, but the rooms themselves and property are very outdated, and small, even the king suite. Depending on the floor and room its all a bit musty smelling. I do like that it all feels like you’re on a cruise ship. Big recommendation: if you have a room with a tub/shower be EXTREMELY CAREFUL. They have a nonslip mat in there that somehow makes it more slippery unless it is 100% suctioned down when it’s dry, and no soap present. My mom put it down to be careful because of the weird height of the tub, and ended up slipping because of the mat. She hit her face and ended up in the ER for most of the day and got a nasty black eye. The staff was very responsive and they gave us a reimbursement for the cab to the hospital, and as soon as they could then downgraded the room size to one that had a walk in shower. If I were them I would have been refunding a LOT more than that. They offered us some free drinks at the bar. To a woman that had just gotten a concussion they offered a solution of free drinks.

It was a late booking so had little choice on room and it was a little stuffy. However this is more than compensated for by the amazing staff, so happy and helpful.

The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a problem with no heat. It was fixed later the same evening. The room was comfortable and very quiet. There was some minor construction nearby that was not an issue. I expected more space for the price but it was acceptable and the location was great. We were happy we chose it.

The property is situated in a quiet area, the reception is spacious and pleasant. The restaurant has a calm ambiance. The rooms are beautifully clean.
