Very charming build g and furniture

I loved the decor and friendly staff. It is a uniquely interesting hotel with each room named after an author. They even give you a bookmark with your key when you check in. They have special suites like The Sherlock Holmes and Treasure Island suites among numerous others. The beds are comfortable. There was a lovely stained glass window in our room that actually opened. We could see lots of greenery and squirrels here and there outside our window. The Fox and Hound Tavern on site also has a lot of character. The menu includes unusual cocktails and bar food. The breakfast included a variety of fruit, baked goods, scrambled eggs, ham, and sausages among other staples. We really enjoyed our stay. We’d like to go again when the pool is open.

Some staff were friendly. Room didn’t seem like it had been cleaned in a while/or very well.

The liked the style of the hotel and its character. I did not like the parking located under the hotel and the support structures.

This hotel was very interesting and different. British inspired with old country style decor. The lobby and many areas had hand carved wood furniture and antiques throughout. The breakfast, which was included, was very good.

Cozy hotel

Very neat and quirky, well-thought-out property and building. I truly enjoyed the assigning of you to a room that is labeled by an author. What a great touch! I’d definitely stay again!

Amazing atmosphere, fantastic free continental breakfast. It felt like I went to England. I felt safe, the room was clean and the front desk staff was wonderful, both for check in and check out, and handled the check in issues with my payment in a good, professional, friendly way.

Excellent breakfast bar

I loved the decor, let’s start there! Check in was very fast and friendly. Parking was shockingly easy. Hotel location is perfect - it’s close to the expressway, gas station nearby and food options on site as well as in close proximity. We will definitely be back! The one thing I wanted to do, I didn’t get a chance to during this visit. No worries we will be back and will make time for outdoor chess!!

Staff was extremely helpful with every question. Always had smiles on faces. If I come to St Louis again, I’ll definitely stay at the Cheshire!

Clean rooms, quiet great location

Location and services were great!

I’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it. Though on this trip the bathroom lights were hidden behind a rack of towels so I did a lot of in the dark grooming. Lol Love the location. Love the weird vibe. Love the pub. And the Italian restaurant next door was yummy—packed though so make a reservation.

It almost felt as if we walked into another time. I liked that the rooms having their own name and theme. The decor was wonderful and cozy inviting.

Staying at the Cheshire is a cool experience with the rooms dedicated to different authors and the unique entrance to the Fox and the Hound tavern. Interesting historical pictures and architecture.
