A good Inn except room is a little small

We like the staff and service, though their plates and cutlery were not very clean. We had luggage and needed an elevator to go to our room. Unfortunately, they didn't have any elevators. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

It was clean, inexpensive and close to the downtown area, but nothing really stands out.

It was an okay stay; friendly staff; decent breakfast. We had a room without a window or AC. Feelt like a sauna, AC in another room was so loud that they couldn't use it at night. No shower at the pool, so people walk in as they are. Some hicups with the cleaning staff, like forgot to close our room after cleaning, etc.

This was the best hotel of my Canada 2025 trip

The property is in an older building, clearly converted perhaps from another hotel. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. Other amenities we appreciated were the continental breakfast, the cool pool (it would have been nice to have it heated), and laundry facilities. We did have one or two hiccups, when we returned to our room one day to discover that the room cleaning wasn't completed, the garbage bag was closed but set on the desk, and the vacuum was in front of our door. We assume the staff had been called away - it was rectified later. The telephone did not work, we heard static on the line and there was a squealing noise when one hung up. This was mentioned to the front desk person twice, but it was never fixed. The only time we needed it was to call the front desk, but as the hotel is relatively small, we didn't really need it. We appreciated the location as it was close to shopping and restaurants. Keep in mind though that the trip to downtown Halifax and the waterfront will take some time as the traffic can be heavy at time

Convenient for our stay, Central Location. Staff very help full. Older location, many stairs to rooms.

Everything was great

Need to improve soap! Much too small for use in a shower. Breakfast was plentiful but always the same thing; no variety. Also the food was ALWAYS cold. Cold scrambled eggs are not temping to eat.’

Though the building is older, our rooms were clean, and the provided breakfast was filling. The staff were friendly, both in check-in and checkout. The view from the front porch was beautiful. The provided my chairs upfront were also comfy.

The staff was amazing and accommodating! What we didn't like was the cleanliness and the fact that we had a mouse in our room. We had to switch between 3 different rooms. Location is great though. Would I stay at this comfort inn again??? Probably not!
