My stay at The Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites for my 50th birthday and Halifax Pride was absolutely perfect, largely thanks to a staff that goes completely above and beyond. My sister wanted to surprise me by joining our celebration. She coordinated with the hotel ahead of time, and the front desk and restaurant teams jumped right in to help execute the plan during our check-in. The moment she walked into the lobby from the restaurant is a memory I will cherish forever. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and genuine excitement. Spotless Rooms: Our room was immaculately clean, wonderfully comfortable, and fully stocked. Heartfelt Care: The team's effort to pull off our family surprise showed a rare level of attentiveness. Convenient location Friendly staff

The hotel is in a nice location opposite the Public Gardens. It's close to the Citadel and a short downhill walk to the waterside. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Quel hôtel magnifique, bâtiment historique. Très bien entretenu. Ils nous ont offert une bouteille de champagne avec une boîte de chocolats et une belle carte pour notre anniversaire, très belle attention!! On a adoré cet hôtel. Je recommande

Excellent all around.

The hotel lobby is of a bygone era of elegance. I love the variety of crystal chandeliers and beautiful wood. The rooms are just ordinary hotel rooms. Clean and with nespresso pods & creamers for coffee. The lack of valet parking was confusing and inconvenient for us. It hampered our check in process making it a very stressful arrival. The pull in area off the Main Street to unload is narrow and not wide enough for two vehicles to pass. Anyone behind you can’t get by and is waiting on you to move. Our bags were taken by the staff before I was told I had to move my car to the parking garage. I would have kept my things with me if I had known that upfront. To enter the garage from the hotel you have to make a very wide swing into the main street & turn immediately into the parking garage on the same side of the street. You need to select the option for hotel guest and not public when entering and the ticket machine spits out a paper ticket which blew away before I could grasp it. Making it necessary for me to jump out of my car to chase it. The gate stayed up for me to pass but the garage doors stayed closed and would not allow me to enter. I thought they were on a sensor but they would not open until someone was exiting and I was able to scoot in at the same time. There are also two garage doors and neither was marked as to which one I should enter. We observed leaking ceilings in multiple hallways making the marble floors slippery.

Great hotel!

Historical looking hotel, rooms are good and well maintained to match the historical appearance. Very close to shops and mall. Walkable distance to harbour and waterfront. Location made it convenient for a short stay we had during layover

Fantastic hotel! Very clean! Updated and in excellent location. Food at the restaurant was delicious!

Very nice, clean & comfortable room. We got the petit room, so definitely on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed. Great location and has parking available. The bellman was very nice, unfortunately can not remember his name.
