Loved it!!

The location is very convenient.

It was a very good hotel. Great location, friendly and very nice staff, rooms were clean, bathroom was big and clean, good breakfast. Overall, we loved it.

Clarion Hotel Admiral is a great hotel - excellent location, close to everything in Bergen including airport express, tram, restaurants, and harbour walks/area/ Rooms are spacious and lovely with excellent breakfast add-ons and great harbour views. Staff is exceptionally kind and helpful - very professional but friendly too! To note - if someone is in the room above and walks heavily it can be quite loud and across the water is the Bergen dance club and maybe one time per week it is something you will hear all night until 2am! I would still definitely stay there - but if you are sensitive to sound, do keep that in mind!

Our room was a corner room with an excellent view. Floor 2C, room 272.

The staff were very nice and helpful. First I was given a very small room but the changed it when I asked. The room decor was sort of dark and plain. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Family room was nice sized - no slippers for guests, and only a small table fan for comfort against hot summer day. Breakfast selection is good, and location can't be beat. Such beautiful view from the hotel restaurant.

The breakfast alone is worth the stay. And the staff is super helpful. Comforters were great. Really nice bathrooms

Very high quality hotel. Fantastic Breakfast, items for all tastes. I especially appreciated "gravlax" (cured salmon in contrast to smoked salmon, which was also served). Very helpful staff to recommend tours etc. Excellent location. I walked to the fish market, Bryggen, Aquarium. My room had a sloping ceiling so limited height in half the room, which required considerable acrobatics to close one of the window shades. To do it remotely would be helpful.

The hotel is located in an excellent central location and is walkable to a lot of nearby places. The service really needs to improve. Most of the working crew (including the restaurant) had faces with no smiles…not at all welcoming we stayed 3 nights and they didn’t even bother to do housekeeping including taking out the trash, providing fresh towels when I informed the front desk, there was no apology or anything. Please do better

Negatives: June 1, 2025 I ordered a pizza from the hotel restaurant. By June 2, 2025 I was transported by ambulance to Haukland Hospital, Bergen Norway for a 3 day stay after experiencing severe gastroenteritis due to food poisoning. Symptoms included critical dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, cramping, extreme lower abdominal pain, mass blood loss due to intestinal inflammation and passing of blood in diarrhea. Infection markers in my blood were quite high and the pizza is the only thing I had eaten that day other than the same hotel’s breakfast buffet. All indications point to the source of infection coming from the hotel restaurant. Positives: the room was nice. They were kind enough to store my suitcase while I was in the hospital for 3 days.

Great location and breakfast, nice staff. I don’t get the comments about the halls - we spent no time inspecting the halls, just went to our room when we got off the elevator. Nice large bathroom, room had a balcony and great views.

Great hotel. It's an older building so expect some old! But lovely, charming, and great!

Clean and tidy room, good sized bathroom but room was a little smaller than expected. Lovely staff, amazing breakfast, great location. The only really downside was the disappointing view from my room.
