Absolutely horrible introduction to the hospitality of Brazil. The hotel says they have employees who speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese but that is not true. Only Portuguese. The staff was not helpful even trying to understand. While the hotel does offer breakfast, we tried it one day and kept finding eggshells. We thought maybe just an error that day. Nope we tried again and still more egg shells. Lastly, I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure we found a few bed bugs. Also, while I understand it’s a tropical area and bugs are common, there was a bug that looked like a cockroach in the lobby for 3 days before it was finally removed. This definitely had me questioning their cleanliness. We stayed here because the reviews said it was good spot but it absolutely was a horrible experience. Coming back from vacation we are setting a game plan to make sure we didn’t carry any home with us. Do NOT book this hotel! I hope this helps avoid anyone else from having a horrible experience as we did.

I highly highly recommend this Place. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The area felt very safe and peaceful which made the stay even better. Everything was well taken care of and you can tell the host truly cares about their guests experience!! Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice air conditioner. Great breakfast

The shower head did not make me very confident. The rest of the room was clean and okay. The air conditioning is blasting full force, but we had extra blankets and they were thick so it was okay at night. The manager was absolutely not born to work customer service and was quite rude. You need to pay to leave your luggage before/after your stay if needed and have no access to any common area before the room is ready. Our room was ready an hour after advertised check out time and no help whatsoever was offered.

Breakfast was good, and all in all the hotel was worth the price of the rooms.

No wifi room never was cleaned food disgusting the power went out for two days and they didn’t treat me right

The place is a mess, horribly dirty, the room felt clean, but was in very poor conditions, bathroom is pretty old, electrical outlets were just wires sticking out of the wall in some parts, bedsheets had a hole, mattresses were bad... but was also cheap. I can't expect much from a cheap place, but, the pictures here are way better than what you're getting, I'd say stay away,

dirty room, dirty toilet, run down. the first night I was there the electricity went out for the whole hotel. but only the hotel. the surrounding areas all still have their electricity. I was on the 6th floor and had to walk up the stair in the dark in the summer heat. the next day, the electricity was still out. I couldn't not get my passport out of the safe because it has an electronic keypad. I had to walk down and up to the front desk to get help. 3 trips down and up and over an hour later, they got a guy to come open up the safe for me to get my passport. Originally, I was going to stay there for 3 nights but I had to forfeit the 2 remaining nights to find another hotel

Had a fantastic stay! Staff was great and chill and the rooms were big! Great location felt very safe!

Atlantico Star was a convenient hotel to stay in the copacabana zone. It was a functional hotel where everything feels old, but still works very good. The place definitily needs an upgrade to more moderns facilities becausa it has a good potencial. Instead this, i do not have anyproblem with my stay and the price payed was less than other hotels in the area.

Excellent service and people. Very helpful. But elevators are always busy and difficult to use if staying on middle floors in the morning and during check in/out

The property looks pretty old but it’s ok staff was nice breakfast is the same thing every day they should change it. I read some reviews that said that there is no hot water but there was overall I can’t complain.
