Clean room with good shower. No hot drinks facilities in room. Could do with soft seating in reception and a few more baggage trolleys.

Our flight got cancelled and we booked this place because Thon Hotel where we stayed at previously was fully booked and we liked its location and noted that Scandic was just beside. However, although we paid double the price at Scandic, the rooms were smaller, views weren’t as great and most of all, staff there were all grumpy and receptionist that tended to us was rude. We simply asked if we could get an earlier check in if there was a room available as we were tired and had a lot of manage with our flight cancellation but she showed zero empathy and was simply brushed us away and asked us to come back later to ask, without giving any time or more information. For the amount we paid, we definitely do expect some better service here. Scandic, if you do not want to lose your customers to a better player you have just opposite you, please retrain your staff or maybe reduce your prices.

There is very good, rich breakfast, friendly staff but unfortunately at least 3 of those members were quite useless in helping us to get that wi-fi. For all our 3 days of stay there was a lot of problem with the wi-fi, including the totaly wrong instructions how to get it. Those instructions were given to us in a small peace if paper together with the key-card. The rooms are with big, comfortable, clean bed and linens but the space in the room is very tiny, so if you are a couple, you will be bumping accidently to each other, stapping on each other feet, nocking things around or stepping on peaces of your luggage. And we are both slim people. I can't even imagine how hard it could be if the customer is of a bigger body-type: taller or wider.

Walkable! The bed was comfortable and the staff extremely helpful with helping me navigate and get acclimated to the system to find a train.

Breakfast was great. Note: not the hotel’s fault, but Parking was less available and more expensive than the Expedia listing showed - but if you use the lot across the street you only have to pay during the daytime and it works out a lot cheaper. The hotel was average. Not a normal problem there: It was very warm in Alta the week we were in town. They have no air conditioning, and so we had to leave the windows open - which meant we could not sleep well due to noise and light (the sun doesn’t set up there). They also have no fans - which is weird, as most places we stayed up there had small fans you could use to move air into the room - but this hotel didn’t. It would behoove them to buy a stock of fans to keep for the odd days when it is warm. The stuff in the area is fairly touristy and expensive but easy enough to find a decent restaurant to walk to.

Comfortable hotel near the Alta Sami museum. Walking distance to restaurants. Possibility to do laundry at specific time. Nice breakfast

Typical Scandic Hotel, good location, basic room but comfortable and impeccably clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and competent. And, of course, an excellent buffet breakfast with many options, fresh and cooked.

This is a great hotel right in the centre of Alta, close to the cathedral. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was great. I’d definitely stay again.

Great location, in Alta's pedestrian downtown, with easy and ample parking, and across the street from the magnificent Northern Lights Cathedral. The best choice in Alta.
