Hair dryer was incredibly old and didn’t work properly, tv didn’t work second day and garbage was not emptied before I checked in. Yet in spite of all of these I would return (I’d just bring my own hair dryer!)

Room not cleaned well and staff not as friendly

Friendly service

It’s a nice hotel along Route 1 near Princeton University. The room we had contained two twin beds and a separate space with a sofa and mini-kitchen (at least a table and a sink). It worked well for our brief overnight stay during a long drive. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice property and great staff. Just lacks some amenities if you need washer or dryer. No icr machines but staff is great about helping you with ice from the kitchen.

There was a glitch with the reservation, but the hotel helped us out by fixing it. They were hospitable the entire time and made sure that we were comfortable. The breakfast was standard hotel fare, but nice to have an option for the family early in the morning. The room was relatively spacious and clean.

No microwave in our room. Unexpected inconvenience!

very average hotel

We made a reservation on this Hotel 3 months in advance due to it being Graduation in Princeton. We paid in full thru expedia, We to check in and was told they had no reservation for me in the system. After complaining and showing them my confirmation # they said it was booked thru a third party service and would have to take it up with them. Impossible to get Expedia to help on weekend, only able to get them thru Chat. Complained further and they told me they found my reservation in the old system cancelled but they never notified me of cancellation. They then offered me a Single Room when I booked a double. Grateful for this even though it was cramped since the whole town was booked. Expedia sends me email next day saying the have a double now. to say the least not a good experince.

The hotel is overall very clean and close to Princeton University. I had a problem with the room smell when I checked in and they switched me to a new room with no problem. They do not keep cash on site and so they do not accept cash payments for the bar or snacks they sell. The bathrooms in the room are poorly designed and you can barely shut the bathroom door without stepping into the shower first to get out of the way because it is such a tight space. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hyatt Place in Princeton is an absolute gem of a hotel. Terrific breakfast food with tons of great choices and add-ons. We feel lucky to stay there every time- and it’s our first choice for Princeton travel.

Yay! The person who waited on me in the evening, a young woman, was especially delightful.
