Well what a suprise this was! Years ago the White Horse had a bad reputation and was considered a bit of a dive. No longer though. The current owners have turned this into a very clean, well presented and comfortable stay. The staff were efficient, friendly and courteous. The bar and dining area were clean, tidy, regularly bussed the tables. The breakfast was ample and very well presented and the same can be said for the eveing meal. The room was spacious and well maintained with nice little touches such as a welcome card and a complimentary welcome tray featuring a collection of small sweet treats - and AIRCON. I would recommend a stay at the White Horse to anyone.

This was a delightful hotel. The staff were beyond lovely and helpful, and the room was super comfortable. The personal touches in the room - a hand written note, check-in treats - were really wholesome touches that made the stay even more welcoming.

The rooms were very spacious and made to feel very cosy. Beds very comfortable. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Very clean.

A lovely property, quirky interiors and welcoming ambience, really enjoyed both the food and drink here and will be coming back for sure. Dorking is a lovely town as well, and the hotel is well located for a short walk to the winery/box hill and the older part of the town as well.

Love this hotel. Always a go to for business stays in Dorking. Excellent and friendly staff. Good rooms and great breakfast. Great location in the centre of Dorking. Although parking can sometimes be a challenge.

Lovely old building and our room had plenty of charm . All members of staff were great.

A clean, comfortable and quiet space. The room was well thought out for practicality over aesthetics (which were also pleasing). Would stay again and recommend others to do so if considering.

What a fabulous place to stay. All the little touches to make one feel special. Staff fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Love the colour schemes. All so restful and inviting. Rooms were sparkling and the food quite delicious. Dorking is very lucky to have such a wonderful place to stay/eat and relax

The place is amazing. The room is nicely decorated and everything feels very high quality. Friendly staff and easy check-in/out. Breakfast was also good, with many options. Can't wait to visit again!

Room was ok. No parking available. Breakfast was late opening and porridge was really poor.

a double bed in a hotel should typically be accessible from both sides for guest convenience, with space to get in and out from each side, even if the bed isn't a king-size. For the best guest experience and comfort, especially for couples, there should be enough room for two people to enter and exit the bed easily without having to climb over each other or a wall, which can be a problem with a double bed if it's placed too tightly against a wall. There was also a step between room and bathroom was very dangerous in dark at night so had to leave light on. Tv didn't work. control needed new batteries which once in bed wasn't an option as far as we were concerned I had to climb over my wife 3 times during the night who has mobility issues waking her to use the bathroom which made our stay very uncomfortable
