Arrived early and the lady on reception arranged for our room to be made up to allow us to check in, above and beyond service. Lovely room and we were lucky to have air con on the hottest day of the year. Bar area nice we didn't eat so can't rate the food. Only slight niggle was there was no outside area to enjoy the sun

The drinks in the bar were expensive therefore it was quiet with no ambience. The whole hotel could do with refurbishment. There was no lift. The shelf the hairdryer was on was dusty and the bag containing the hairdryer also.

Friendly staff, large comfortable beds, powerful shower. Good selection at breakfast. Have stayed twice and would stay again.

Toilet and bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working apart from that all good thanks

One night stay following a friends birthday party at the venue. The hotel delivered everything I expected and a very tasty breakfast.

Welcomed by Abbie and was very clear in her communication. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was just right to set us up for the day. Good location for local university campus.

We had a very comfortable stay, great location, friendly, helpful staff.

Hotel is clean, just very dated. Was expecting much more from a well known chain. For the amount paid was expecting something that had been improved since original construction. Can't say it is eco friendly as the whole time i was there the radiators were on full blast to make up for the fact that the single glazed old aluminum windows were drafty.

Firstly the staff werent aware of the reply to the email you sent. It looked really tired inside and out. The carpets were worn or stained. The bar carpet was rucked up. We ordered coffees and got called to the bar to collect them, whereas normally they would be brought to the table. My wife asked for vegan sausage and a runny egg, as all the eggs brought out were firm. The sausages were under cooked and the egg again was firm. We were very disapointed. Apart from being charged more per night and breakfast than was being charged on the day. You need to refurbish soon or you will miss out on people staying there on a regular basis.

Perfectly reasonable for a one or two night stay.

It was a good trip to Norwich unfortunately the room in the hotel was very warm and i had the worst night

The mercure’s rooms are comfortable, have air conditions, lovely bed, and Nespresso coffee in them. The staff were very friendly and helpful. To go into town in the evening you do need to use the cab service (details at reception) The hotel is an older building in an industrial estate.
