The Hotel is a wedding venue. Absolutely beautiful. 20 minutes outside of Galway. It is directly on the beach, but it is not to swim, just for views and breezes. It rained the days we were there. We couldn’t play tennis, but we used the pool, steam room and sauna. TV was good service. Ate several meals there which were excellent, and they served one of the best breakfasts of our stay in Ireland with many options.

The hotel is right on the Connemara coast and makes for a great getaway. It is about a 20 minute drive west from Galway. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast services were both fantastic. I would stay there again.

The stay was perfect! Great staff, very clean, and spacious rooms. The only critique if there was one at all is the wifi did not reach our room, but the lobby had great connection. Overall we would definitely be back and recommend this for anyone wanting a beautiful hotel on the coast!

A beautiful location and an ideal base to explore the west coast. Rooms were spacious, clean & beds very comfortable. Staff all very helpful & friendly and the food was great too. We visited during a heatwave (which is rare) but it was uncomfortably hot in the room, even with fans - air conditioning would be ideal and if the weather patterns continue, this might be a worthwhile investment? The only other thing we missed was a fridge in the room - being able to chill drinks would’ve been even better. However, overall a great hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay! We’d definitely consider a return in the future.

No ac. But have some rooms with ac but will not tell you unless you push for it. Some areas are extremely hot and dirty.

The views and walking paths along Galway Bay were spectacular! A great spot for needed R&R after two weeks traveling around the country, and luckily we had brilliant sunshine those days too.

We had an overall lovely stay at the The Connemara Coast Hotel. The property is peaceful, beautiful, and perfect if you are looking to stay outside of the busier areas of Galway. The food was excellent, and every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming. That said, the hotel did appear somewhat understaffed for the size of the property, especially during a very large wedding weekend. We unfortunately found mold in our bathroom and waited a few hours for assistance due to limited housekeeping availability. A very kind bellman eventually came and personally spent time scrubbing the area himself, which we greatly appreciated. The rooms could benefit from a deeper overall clean, as the bathroom and coffee/desking area were a bit dusty. The walls are also thin, so hallway noise and wedding activity can easily be heard, though it felt somewhat expected for this type of property. For transportation into Galway, we would recommend taking a taxi unless you have a rental car. The bus runs about every 30 minutes to an hour but can be quite slow. Overall, despite a few areas for improvement, we still had a genuinely pleasant and relaxing stay. I would probably stay again or find somewhere else in Connemara :) beautiful property however.

At first were disappointed there were no hotels rooms available directly in Galway, but I'm so glad it worked out that way! The hotel is beautiful , staff were friendly, and the view on the beach was amazing. Parking was really easy and we found a restaurant close by called O'Grady's on the Pier which was a 5 min drive from the hotel and had 10/10 food and ambiance. Our room was 7.5/10, there was no AC and it smelled a bit musty. We kept our ground floor patio door open as much as possible which helped. The room was also a bit dusty, sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower didn't have a glass door that closed just a partition which wasn't ideal. The shower did have great pressure and was nice and hot. Overall, I'm really glad we chose this hotel and would come back.

Would have given 5 stars across the board but there was a scaffold right outside our window, despite requesting an ocean view. It isn't really walkable to much, but the onsite restaurant was very good and the view was amazing. There's also a quaint pub contained within the hotel, with an awesome Irish performer the night we were there.
