I wouldn't recommend to stay in this hotel.DIRTY, old and elevators seemed unsafe...DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Good price, staff were friendly, could use some upgrades and updates. It is close to everything. Loved being able to walk to shops and food places. The courtyard is cute.

I feel bad the people work there... under staff the one who works at the lobby, he also work as a cook and room boy.

Needed a short stay for a wedding nearby that wasn't breaking the bank... This hotel is borderline expensive for what it is. The positive was the walking distance to everything, and the very helpful staff during check-in, aside from that the overall feel of the hotel was very low budget and old. The carpets were old, peeling, bubbling, and dirty. Weird smells in the hallways and room (almost like sewage?), and ants in the room. The view out of the room window was an unmaintained courtyard where you can bear witness to the old, ugly, overgrown and dirty area that is shared by everyone else. There is no screen on the window either so if you decide to take in the *fresh air, might have to deal with bugs. Overall would not recommend this hotel, they have a lot of maintenance to do but I could see it becoming a much nicer experience if they put effort into it.

Cons: Unfortunately we booked at a time when the property was being renovated, so we landed up in a room with stained carpets, dated and chipped furniture, stained bathroom tiles, and a faulty toilet. This gave the impression that the room was not clean. I asked to be put in another room, but all four that I saw were the same. Pros: You cannot beat the location. It's a walk away from everything - the beach, multiple restaurants, the ABC store, the hot pool and the gas station. The Staff was very accommodating. Free underground parking. Nice foyer. Complimentary breakfast. Maybe what management should do is warn potential guests about the present state of the hotel. Update the website to say: Hotel Being Renovated. I look forward to trying again when renovations have been completed. Presently, I can only give it two stars.

We were travelling across Canada and stayed one night at this hotel. It was clean, a central location and provided everything we needed... which was a place to stay one night and in the morning we drove on. For our needs, it was great. They are spending money and improving the hotel. It's not perfect yet but they are headed in the right direction. You're just steps from the main part of town and beach... this is a beach town, with nice (slightly expensive) restaurants, lots of beach things to do... it's a great location.

I am really sorry to have to give this bad review this time. I usually go to this hotel when in the lower mainland as they accept dogs and I sometimes travel with dogs. This time we were on the way back from holidays in Europe and 4 people. The first room was not done. The bedding laid all over the place but not on the bed. The next room we received had dirty sheets on both queen beds. There were fresh, but dried coffee stains on both sheets. Clearly the sheets had not been changed or someone spilled coffee all over the freshly washed laundry before bringing them to the room. The associate from the reception came and changed the sheets. Then we had only 2 sets of towel & facecloth for 4 people. The fridge did not work and the AC was sitting in the room with a hose through the open window and made a terrible noise, so we had to shut it off. The room seemed newly painted and the door too, the room number was marked on a piece of paper sticked to the door. The mattress gave my partner a bad back pain as it was run down and didn't support him at all on his side. My side of the mattress was ok. The breakfast was ok. Toast, egg with cheese, yoghurt, muffins and granola boxes from Kellogg's were available. Orange juice, milk, tea and coffee as well. We received a small discount on the price when asking and reporting the issues with the room. This hotel needs a good overhaul to be a gem again. It's at a very convenient location, easy to find and has a underground parking.

The room was flooded. There was hair on the floor, mold on the ceiling fan, the floor was soaking wet, ceiling tiles were falling out of the ceiling, phone was broken, air conditioner was falling out of the window… This was the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!!

Staff was friendly. Great location. Bed and pillows weee not great and the carpet in our room was stained and disgusting. The facility needs renovation, front door of the hotel was off the tech and barely open in the lobby. They have started Reno’s in the hallways

Ok to stay

Highly wouldn’t recommend staying here. Our room was SO hot, talked to other guests in the hotel and they said the same thing. Hotel is old, very ran down and our room wasn’t very clean. Good location, staff was friendly. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel is not clean and we had a kitchen unit that had nothing in it. I had to keep on asking them to give us pots plates, forks, knives. They do not clean the room unless u ask them. There was bugs in my room. Its a very old hotel

Everything ok

In renovation, very old, with random furnishings (e.g. mini fridge without shelving). Lots of unfinished things (e.g. no baseboards, door numbers were pieces of paper taped on door...etc.) Cleaners were helpful but front desk was not. Best thing is that the AC worked well and the hotel was across the street from the beach and playground.

Was the dirtiest place I've ever seen. Black mold in bathroom, stained sheets with cigarette burns, dirt everywhere, peeling wallpaper. This place should be condemned. I can't believe they are still open......disgusting. staff literally doesn't care as long as they for your money

англійською: I was very disappointed with my stay. As soon as I arrived, it was obvious that the room had not been cleaned properly. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition, and the toilet seat was covered in urine. It was disgusting and made me question whether the room had been cleaned at all before my check-in. The overall cleanliness of the room was very poor. There were stains and dirt, and the entire room felt neglected. Cleanliness is the most basic expectation at any hotel, regardless of the price, and unfortunately, this property failed to meet even that standard. To make matters worse, the staff were not helpful. When I asked about parking, they didn’t even know where the parking area was or how to direct me. I expected at least basic knowledge about the hotel’s facilities. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I would not stay here again until they improve both their housekeeping and customer service
