Nice hotel for the races. Just unfortunate the air conditioning didn’t work on one of the hottest days of the year!

Tired hotel, noise with party tent in courtyard next to rooms to 2300 plus then people leaving, blackout blinds don’t work old and torn, mold in bathroom.

The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are shabby. Extremely thin mattress toppers.

Generally satisfactory but hit by a choking chemical smell at the entrance. Bright airy eating area. Only one barmaid taking food & drink orders unable to do anything to reduce the growing queue. Corridors & room clean. Bed could do with a mattress cover - unyielding & a bit lumpy so I woke a few times - but did the job & I rose fresh in the morning. Shower great. Would return again if price is right. I’m a member of ALL but saved 6% on the app price by booking through hotels.com.

Although this is a clean and comfortable Hotel, it is let down by the Leisure facilities it offers If you are booking based on having access to a gym and pool, then think again. The pool is verry small as are the changing rooms The changing toom is more like a coubord, and there is no dry floor anywhere, so you have to go back to your room bate foot.

The rooms were lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. Didnt eat in hotel so cannot comment on food. Staff very friendly. Would have been 5 stars but very loud music from wedding marquee in middld of hotel till midnight. After long day andcearlh start next day would havd been nice to have been able to sleep a bit earlier bug theh did stop dead on midnight. Extra charge to use pool too as run seperately.

We had stayed here previously and had booked it as it is close to haydock race course and to use the pool and jacuzzi. Booked 8 rooms for two nights and planned on everyone using the pool and Jacuzzi like we did last time, only to be told it is £10 per person! We spent close to £2000 on the rooms, drinks at the bar was on-top of this and then told you have to pay to have a swim is not what we expected at all. We were all extremely disappointed and have never had to pay here or elsewhere before. Out of principle we chose not to pay. The rooms need some TLC. Two had leaked due to the rain. The hotel was full but waiting for breakfast items was not great 10-15 minutes for eggs. Then no sausages. Then no bacon. They should have been prepared for this. Room keycards would stop working randomly. On the plus side the staff were great. Especially at reception. A special mention to Sophia who was so helpful before we arrived confirming changes that were made via Expedia, which was not easy(Expedia’s fault). We had planned on staying here in the future but I’m not sure anymore.

Attended local horse racing on the weekend. Walked to the course. Parking at the hotel was easy and plentiful. Room was great. Restaurant was convenient and food was good.

Nice property. The room we stayed in was recently renovated and we liked it. Like the fact they made parking free instead of charging. Recommend
