The hotel had a lot of dead bugs and it didn’t really look clean. The hotel was very shady, and noisy. We decided to check out when we saw 4 police cars at the hotel. Definitely not kid friendly….

Dirty area

Was told that I couldn’t get the room I originally booked for “maintenance” and they “upgraded” me to the hotel next to it, they made it sound “better” than the original one I booked for. Come to find out, fridge doesn’t work, it flooded, tv didn’t work, it had a smell. I wouldn’t recommend for long stay.

The room was not clean upon our arrival two hours after check in. There was hair in the shower and a person’s shirt on the back of the bathroom door. There were ashes in the drawers and tobacco on the floor. The floors were noticeably not sweep and linen not fresh. The TV didn’t work and there were roaches constantly in the kitchen area. The office refunded one night for the TV and said the management company don’t give a hell about the property and the inspector along with the housekeeping staff are relatives of the owners who don’t do their jobs. We had to clean the whole place top to bottom to even be comfortable enough to stay and requested fresh linen and towels immediately. This place is for people on hard times looking for a cheap extended stay. This is not recommended for family vacation. It should honestly be shut down. If you’re trying to save money, remember that you get what you pay for and honestly this wasn’t even worth the money I paid.

I stayed in many hotels, and this by far was the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. It was dirty, the toilet stopped working, the shower did not work right, the sheets were dirty…. I can go on and on but I think you get the point. Don’t let the photos on the site fool you. From the photos, the interior looks great until you see it. HUGE letdown!

Easy check in, and quiet, but the floors in the hall way and room very dirty, carpet up the stairs needed a good vacuuming and/or really replacement and there was very foul smell in the stairwell

The staff upon arrival was on the phone swearing and very unprofessional. The door was difficult to open as it was stuck to layers of paint. The floors were dirty and beds uncomfortable and itchy.

Good Stay with Great Value! I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn & Suites in Newport News and had a generally positive experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were just what I needed for a short stay. Staff at the front desk were polite, and check-in was smooth and efficient. The location was convenient, particularly with easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price, it delivers good value. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the quiet atmosphere at night. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that covers the basics well, this is a good pick. Would stay here again.

Bathroom floor was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen in any lodging anywhere in the world.

Room was filthy!! The shower curtain was black with mildew, no trash can, the blinds were broken and hanging down, the tub had hair in it, the beds were made up tacky and upon inspection hair on the sheets and pillows. I told my children don’t touch anything and didn’t even want the dogs to touch the floor. The only positive was the man running the front desk he graciously moved us to a sister hotel and I truly appreciate that!

The property was this n a convenient location and price was good. When we checked in the evening/night front desk person name Jamal was very rude. But all the other staff members was nice.

Horrible stay, the room was half ass painted, only one little trash can, paint chipping off of the ceiling in the bathroom, stained sheets, no trash bags. People lived there with dogs and cats, so there was noise coming from all sides. We extended our stay simply because we were lazy, but never again.

The stay was good. JAMEL at the front desk was attentive to our needs, and exercised a strong commitment to meeting and satisfing customers needs. THANK you Jamel! Overall the property is nice, easy- fast - access to Busch Gardens (about 10 miles) -appearing to be partially complete in a apparant rennovation upgrade, with options like the game room currently to be filled, and no pool yet available. Summary - good for a clean no thrills value stay, with potential. Thank You!

They never clean the room all week they was rude i won't be back there

First when we arrived they said they were an extended stay which it was not advertised as such. Then they put us in a room that smelled absolutely awful. I'll leave it to the imagination as to what was all over the walls. Then we were provided another room which was much cleaner and smelled better. Then Ill assume that extended stay customers literally were having tented parties in the parking lot. At 230 in the morning someone began beating on the room door for well over an hour. When such person was let in from his visit to the gentleman's club that was with in walking distance the couple argued loudly for another hour !

The only negative thing I could say is that there were lots of cockroaches in my room. I was concerned they might try and crawl in my luggage.

I go to Virginia often and the past 4 times have stayed at this location. Staff is friendly and it’s a good price.

Office staff was great. Some families there and they were polite and were enjoying their time.. over all great atmosphere and good people..
