You get what you pay for

As soon as we entered the room it smelled like wet socks and the carpet between the beds was so wet we had to put a towel down. My daughter and I both woke up with large, swollen red insect bites on our bodies.

Room smelled like smoke, they said they were booked and did not let us change rooms. They tried to freshen it, but it didn't work. We called and asked if they provide extra blankets, but when we arrived, they said they don't provide. Had to wait in parking lot for 30 minutes while they "freshened" the room. We ended up losing the money for the second night and stayed elsewhere. We paid to NOT have to stay there a second night.

Terrible service

This was a quick get away and the room was not exactly like pictured. Take your own bug spray and don’t have high expectations, then you won’t be disappointed. This hotel was close to family.

It was very close to the Zoo, which was nice. Room had no remote for the TV. Took forever to get the remote. We paid extra for the snack box and that was a joke. Not worth the extra. We , two people, received one bottle of water, one snack size bag of popcorn, one mini pack of crackers, one snack bag of plain chips and one granola bar. Not what we were expecting for the price paid. Air conditioner didn’t work properly and the room smelled of dog. The mini frig did not get cold. Not happy, would not recommend or stay again.

We had no cancellation on short time before booking so are out $170 because we would not EVER stay in such a scuzzy, dangerous place. There were loud men out drinking in the parking lot and men hanging out on the walkways outside the rooms. We arrived late(8:00) after a 11 hour drive. I would love to get my money back, but I did agree to the terms. I will think twice about using Hotels.com if this is on your list!

Wall outlets near the bed did not work

The room was clean when we arrived, and the price was great. However, I made our reservation for a family of 4, and they only left 2 towels in our room. When my husband asked for more, they told him that we needed to bring our dirty towels to the office to get more. After explaining that we had 4 people, they finally gave him some more, but we shouldn’t have had to go begging for more. They did not come in and clean or refresh anything during our stay. The hotel WiFi was not secure, which was a concern to my husband. And the sign at the desk says they are not responsible if anything goes missing inside or outside of your room, which just raised red flags for me. Like I said, the price was nice, but I will likely find a different hotel the next time we travel to St. Louis!

Ok for budget travel. Super cute area, but it was your basic “I’m just gonna get a cheap room tonight” kind of place.

This hotel is probably exactly what you expect it to be. It's an older, almost "motel" style hotel. While fairly clean, there were certainly stains and dusty corners. The floors were a bit sticky. It's not the worse place I've stayed, and it's what I expected for the cost. But don't book based on the reviews saying it's "great," etc., hoping you'll find the room is much better than expected.

door wouldn’t close all the way. the shower barely worked and was covered in hair. the toilet had poop stains. there was large crowds of loud intoxicated arguing people outside until 3am, glass bottles broken around all our car.

I checked in at 3:15pm and checked out at 6:40pm. The floor was dirty. There was a used cup on the sink. The air conditioning was loud. The desk receptionist was ver kind, professional and gracious.

Clean and inexpensive. Staff were super friendly!

Great

The room was clean, but the bathroom was somewhat worn. The toilet leaked, when called got prompt attention and problem was solved. Just an average room, cost too high.

picked this location as needed to be near to St Louis University and was great. clean room. quiet. easy checkin and out. didnt need anything and also easy parking, easy in and out driving.
