Water pressure on 5th floor is poor. Couldn’t work out WiFi easily. Code written on card but no explanation given on which option to use. It asks for an American state without an option for UK on the option we initially found. Hard to find tv / music channels on tv as menu option not working. Bed was excellent.

We where disappointed with the overall experience we had at the hotel. The Hilton brand come with a certain level of expected Luxury, however this was clearly not met. There where a few small issues with the room which we felt should have been delbt with however, obviously not been looked at for a long while. This included the sink trap not working properly, USB sockets not working and a kettle which must have had a soup or broth heated in it as there where spring onion, seads and other food items at the bottom. These things should EASALY be picked up by the cleaning team and passed on to maintinance. While on the topic of the cleaning team, I find it unacceptable for the team to be knocking on the door hourly from 9 am and talking loudly outside the door. When a hotel has a checkout time of 12 o'clock, I would think the cleaning teams would be expected to leave the booked rooms until checkout time. The parking is £20 per night...apparently (even after a kind member of staff gave us a discount code). we did not expect to have to pay this extra fee, on top of the room price. Just make sure to be careful while using the parking facilities as the state of the tarmac is diabolical, a few punctures waiting to happen especially in smaller vehicles. For the price of parking I would expect a "pot hole" free parking lot. Overall this Hilton did not meet the 4 star Hilton quality. On a positive note, the reception staff where very friendly welcoming and helpful.

Our room was spotless, the hotel was great as were all the staff we met. The Brightsmith restaurant was amazing and our fillet steak was fantastic. The waiters were very nice and polite. The breakfast was also great so much choice. Overall we had a great time and experience and would come back.

Booked a family room and the bed wasn’t set up for daughter. Shower broken and stick on the hottest setting potentially causing serious injury. Check in staff rude. Food in the bar cold and had to be sent back. Don’t recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were great - very friendly and helpful. But our bedroom was freezing when we arrived. We used the portable heater (which obviously indicates a problem) but cold air was coming through the window area and grates all night. Also, the bar was disappointing - we got back from our event at 9pm ish - the bar was shortstaffed and the area to buy snacks was open but not staffed.

Hotel was nice, great location for the NEC also. I was not impressed with staff attitude though. Our room wasn't ready to check in to, we had to wait in reception for 40 minutes even though this was after the 3pm check in time. When I asked how long it would be as we'd driven a long way and had food booked so needed to get ready, the woman on reception was very rude saying they'd been fully booked the previous night, the room wasn't ready and there was nothing they couldn't do about that. Also check out was 12.00, cleaning staff knocked our door at 11 and asked how long we'd be before checking out. I said we'd be checking out by 12 and she was annoyed by this.

Great hotel. We stay at a lot of places because of work, and this is a really decent one. Especially the breakfast. I have coeliac disease so need gluten free options, and they have loads. Plus are happy to make you a fresh cooked breakfast so there is no risk of cross contamination. The staff, especially the breakfast team, were all super friendly even though they were clearly rushed off their feet.
