The hotel was ok. But needs maintenance. Windows broken and leaking air, paint severly chipped. The whole reason we stayed was for the pool. It was freezing! The pool room was freezing. Water driping from windos, floor tiles lifted and rusted. We were very disapointed. Breakfast was subpar, parking lot was a sheet of ice. When we told the front desk,she said ok,but nothing was done I guess it would take someone falling before they did something. We will not be back.

The staff was friendly, and the room was cleanish, the property was clearly not maintained. Peeling wallpaper, broken/missing ice machines, See where they just painted over peeling paint and missing fixtures. The entire hotel smelled of pot to the point it made your eyes burned. I did tell the front desk upon check out and they had kicked the people out, but at that point they had been there all night smoking in the hotel. Outside the hotel had GIANT ice cicles hanging off the roof that if they fell on car could most likely killed someone.I know the harsh winter on the lake it happens, but these were massive. I was also charged a "hold" for incidentals, but they actually charged my card much more and they took the money not just held., they did correcr it after 2 phone calls.

10 hours on the road, and we arrive. I have stayed in many La Quinta Hotels, and they have always been excellent until this one. The moment we entered, we found filthy, mud-tracked floors that remained that way until we checked out. We went to our room, and one of the walls was unpainted or perhaps had been forgotten to be painted. The bed mattress and box springs were lumpy, with a bed ruffle in tatters. Spilled drink stains were noted, too. The room smelled like someone spilled an alcoholic drink on the carpet, which was worn threadbare. The furnishings were scarred, and the sofa bed my daughter had to sleep on was also stained and worn. I was sent a text asking how I liked the room, and I sent pictures to state what was unsatisfactory. There wasn't a response until we left the next day and were on the road. It was an apology and a hope we'd come back. Finally, we left without breakfast as the breakfast bar wasn't open at six as it was supposed to be. When I asked, I was told it could be as late as six thirty before it would be up. We had to be on the road by then, so I got a cup of coffee from the lady who was setting up the breakfast, and we hit the road. As I stated, the text apology came late that morning with nothing but an apology and an explanation that the hotel room was under renovation and the hope that we'd be back.

The first room we were given had not been cleaned or the beds made. The front desk clerk found us another room. He went up and checked out the room to make sure it was okay. He then helped us get the luggage cart up to our room. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Booked 3 rooms. The property was gross. We found 3 cockroaches in one of the bathrooms. There was blood on one of the mattresses. Got refunded and immediately walked out. The front desk clerk didn’t act phased whatsoever about the terrible conditions, no apology. Do not book this hotel
