It was one problem after another. Too many things to list. 3 or 3 and 1/2 maximum. Switched to the four seasons. I won't be staying ever again and certainly would caution other's about staying. They are coasting on the name and decor in the common areas. A shame considering that this is apparently a flagship property. I held my wedding reception at the Fairmont Barbados. Excellent. Just returned from the Fairmont Empress on Vancouver Island. Excellent. The Fairmont Royal York should be ashamed.

The telephone in the room did not work and I could not call the front desk or any other service. I discovered the problem the morning that I checked out, so it was too late to do anything for me. Also it took a very long time to get hot water in the shower and bathroom sink. It was repaired quickly and shows the excellent efficiency of the staff.

We had a great stay as always. Joe at the library bar was so wonderful! Great accommodations

The room was spectacular with views of the lake. The lady helong at check in was fantastic and made us feel very special. Later in the evening we enjoyed drinks at the Reign bar and it was the perfect ending to our evening. I can't wait to go to another Fairmont.

All staff that we dealt with were great. Room was clean and welcoming.

Great location, clean, room furniture showed a bit of wear and tear, great amenities in the room but no fridge... Nice and polite. staff. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. I love old-timey hotels and don't mind shabby-chic decor, except my room felt dated, like stuck in the 80s or 90s.. Overall, the room felt like a 3-star hotel with a 5-star price tag.

Great stay.

This hotel has always been the first pick for my family for almost 100 yeas when visiting the provinces capital. There’s nothing like the feeling of staying at the Royal York. And the gym is one of the best in any hotel anywhere.

Fairmont Gold was absolutely fantastic. If you can, I’d highly recommend. The personalized touch, lounge, check in, etc. were all top notch.

Hotel with history in the heart of toronto, not cheap but a treat worth experiencing.

The location is great. The hotel rooms are small and the luxury rooms are smaller than standard rooms at most hotels for the price. Our luxury room view was of the inside and the beds were comfortable. The older rooms do not allow for plugins of phones beside the bed. The Reign Restaurant was great for dinner and the staff were attentive. The Library bar took long to get a seat and the server and food was disappointing. Breakfast at the Clockworks was very good and staff were fantastic. The music that is playing throughout the lobby and bars is odd (techno pop?) and doesn’t make or match the hotel ambience. Overall it was a good stay but would not stay here again while visiting Toronto.

The room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the city. All of the staff that I interacted with, were all incredibly nice and helpful. We were only in the city for one night, but we will definitely stay at the Fairmont again.
