We have stayed at this property many, many times in the past. Unless some serious changes are made, this visit will be our last. Like dozens of times in the past, we called the hotel and asked for the best rate. They quoted their rack rate despite it being off season and we were staying a couple of weeks. At the last minute, just for fun, I checked the rate on Orbitz. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS PER NIGHT!! Are you kidding me??!! At check in we reminded them about adding Wyndham points to our account. They said “no. Something about the “computers” and “you booked with Orbitz”. Again, are you kidding me??!! The number 1 problem is how they destroyed the ocean view. I want to remind you, the reason why we are staying at a beachfront resort is to enjoy the view. The new structure of tables and chairs at the water’s edge is ridiculous. The only thing more idiotic is obnoxious sunbeds that liter the beachfront. We are not paying MORE to use these sunbeds. Curtains on these beds destroy what little view is left. They need to be moved BEHIND the chairs Because the palms grew over the years there is now no shade. No umbrellas other than a few tied up by tables. To make matters worse the beach area is now closed at night!! We came back at around 8 to sit on the beach and were asked to leave. Seriously? Please don’t respond with “I’m sorry”! We spent too much money for someone to just say “sorry”. We deserve some kind of refund because this was no vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I first came here 30 years ago, and they have really "upped their game", with a beautiful and large beach area, a great breakfast overlooking the ocean, and entertainment every night. I do wish they had a clothes cabinet of some sort, we had to put our clothes on the 2nd bed.

The beach tunnel was much more convenient than I thought - staff was pleasant. There were additional fees charged that aren’t disclosed, if you aren’t an all-inclusive don’t expect the same treatment/hospitality from staff. Overall it was okay.

The pool is a selling point of this property. The food is nothing to get excited about. The mexican night was the best food and entertainment night of the week. I miss the days you could order food pool side chair. They now have a limited menu and you have to sit at a table to order food for lunch or go to ther side for buffet style.

This is good for divers but the food wasnt very good. We only did yhe breakfast and not yhe all inclusive and the breakfast was mediocre at best. Its nice that Dive Paradise now has their main shop at the hotel with lockers and 2 rinse tanks. Not really a beach but there is sand in front of the dining area (across main road from the hotel and rooms) with ample chairs and a bar.

Stay was very pleasant and the cost more than made up for the slight downside of an older room and sub par dining

A $10 ride to town. No restaurants nearby...must go to town. Hotel level is 2/5 stars. Dive Paradise is on-site. Hotel is actually ACROSS STREET FROM BEACH...you walk under the street in a tunnel to get there

Staff was wonderful. I didn’t get her name but the tall lady at the front desk was so sweet and extremely helpful. She was that way ALL THE TIME! Keira who worked in the beach area and restaurant at that side is delightful. Wonderful friendly personality. Breakfasts we delicious and a great variety and abundance.

This hotel is probably a two star. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. Beds and bedding are low quality. Amenities were poor quality. Tiny little TV. Staff is not friendly. They had all kinds of weird rules.

It was an ok property. The breakfast was great, the beach (has no sand) had great snorkeling. It was close enough to walk to town. No place to put your clothes in room besides tiny closet. Would probably find another place with more advanced planning. Trip planners were helpful!

This property is a good place to stay if you plan on just doing your own thing. The pool area is very nice and the breakfast that was included was good also. I am glad we did not pay for the all inclusive as there are only two restaurants. Snorkeling is included and if you are scuba diver there is a dive shop onsite. This hotel is located centrally to all the shopping and dining and really to anything you might want to do. This was a pleasant place to stay, room was clean ac was cold and the grounds are well maintained. There was no WiFi in the rooms at the time of our stay. For the price we were very happy with our stay.

Overall I'd say things were great! I'd definitely come back to this resort in the future! Check-in: It seems check-in always takes a while, especially after a long day of traveling. Everything went smoothly, the person helping us was very patient and personable. We received welcome drinks that were delicious! 10/10 (although I do wish Expedia clarified that the all-inclusive option was not included. That was an unexpected expense, and quite pricey). Room: It was great! The AC worked great, the shower was good, had warm water. There was a hammock in the room that we spent quite a bit of time in. The balcony was also nice! 10/10 Facilities: Pool was clean and spacious, they had activities during the day. All the bars were great. Everyone was very nice and helpful. One negative and it could have been because we were visiting in the off season: breakfast started at 6:30 and we had an early excursion that we had to make the 8AM ferry for. We arrived at 6:30 AM and they were still setting everything up. None of the hot foods were out, they only had fruit and cheese out. The hot food didn't show up until around 6:50 but by that time we had to start going and didn't leave much time to actually eat. Again, it could have been because we were in the off-season so things were a little slower getting started but it wasn't a great start to the day considering we were expecting to be able to eat our included breakfast before heading out for the day. Overall I'd give the resort an 8/10!

Dirty rooms, hammock reeked of cat urine. There were stains on the wall & on the floors, hot tub was “broken” the entire time we were there. Do your research because for $100/night there is a lot of other options.

We are experienced users of all-inclusive resorts, staying at many different levels of luxury. We try not to over expect hotels amenities. The overall level of this hotel was slightly above average. Good>Rooms were nice and clean. Very accommodating for scuba divers who need to dry wet equipment. Bathrooms are dated and show wear that just a coat of white paint doesn't fix. But they serve the purposes they are for. Food served a la carte is really good. Buffets are meh, but variety is limited and not real exciting. There is a tunnel under the street so access to the beach area is safe and easy. Small but great little beach and bar. Very nice views at beach restaurant and bar. Drinks: They charge extra for half of their liquors on display. AI should be all AI, not just the bottom shelf. Staff: They seemed to be short staffed and the ones there do not seem to be too thrilled to be there. BAD> Pool lacks proper skimmer and surface is full of hair, skin oils, dirt, small leaves, rather nasty. Price> $235 per night could be spent at a higher end resort. Expedia did a "bait and switch." Hotel was advertised as an All Inclusive, but the price we booked was just breakfast only. It was not clarified on the Expedia website. We had to upgrade $110 per night for All inclusive. Not happy about that.
