Great experience all around!

The British Colonial is the perfect place to get a relaxing beach experience. This place is charming, beautiful, has a private beach with many different non-motorized water activities.

The hotel did not honor my $42 beverage perk and charge me for refills for the drink I had at dinner! The room next-door I had a loud couple that kept fighting and ended up having to be removed from the hotel and I had to go down to the front desk two times to report it before they would do anything! I would’ve called from my room phone, but that didn’t work. I had to wait two hours just to be seated in the dining area for a quick meal. This hotel is not big on customer service and should be honoring their agreements with Expedia, which they are not.

Not sure who’s leaving reviews for the property. Nonetheless, during our 6 night reservation, the beds were made twice, the sheets were never changed, the floors were never vacuumed or moped and when we arrived there was mold at the base of the shower. And to top it off I paid close to $600 in resort fees.

Excellent staff! Great location and lovely property

The hotel has good conditions. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the dining options are not varied. According to the hotel it has 8 restaurants but I only saw 3 working. There was one closed and the guests were never notified, there was only one open at night, the food was good but the prices were extremely expensive. The other open only offered sushi. During breakfast time there was only one restaurant open and it was supposed to serve buffet and a la carte, but during my stay the buffet only worked one day, the rest of the time they only served a la carte. According to the hotel it had a water park but it is not true. The beach and the 2 swimming pools are very small. Guests do not have access to the cabanas in the pool and beach area, as they are available for reservations only, it seems good that there is availability for cruises but guests must have access since they are paying to access all the hotel facilities. On everything you consume they charge you 10% VAT, 15% tips and also give you the option to leave more tips. And they will also give you a resort fee. In particular, I would not go to this hotel again

Cool room. I didn’t like the food at the main restaurant but it is in a central location for you to find good food like the locals area the fish fry and other things you want to explore . Overall it’s a really cute hotel. Wish I took more advantage of the beach

Everything was great except for the food. The food at the restaurants were a disappointment.

Great location, shopping and dining just a few blocks away from the hotel. Be careful with taxi drivers, they abuse their fares when you are tourist. Ask how much before get in the car.

Room was a lil warm, bed frame creaked, toilet low to the ground.

Amazing stay

Pricing is not clear. Property, food and beverage are over priced. Travelers would be better served going to other property with true ocean views, balconies and full beach access. Not the view of construction. Only highlight Staff was great!

Beautiful, quiet hotel with gorgeous beach. We will go back!

The staff was not friendly at all. I got blamed for smoking on daughter’s birthday trip. We went out for breakfast and as soon as we got back in the room I received a phone call from a man telling me I have left my DND sign on my door for the past 2 days and they’re giving me a “call” before coming to check in my room. I told him to be my guest and come on in- he didn’t want to. Now if my daughter would have picked up that phone call we would have a had a real problem. Need less to say we no longer felt comfortable at this hotel. I continued to leave my DND sign on my door because now I didn’t feel safe since I was being watched. My daughter and I were in the bathroom changing to leave for the airport and about 5 different employees came into the bathroom saying it smelled like something and checking the stalls. The pool/beach staff were not friendly, I was not spoken to unless I went and spoke to someone. I had to keep walking across the beach to get drinks/food. An employee finally noticed what I was doing then decided to ask me if I needed anything on the beach (even tho she was servicing the 2 tables beside me). I spoke to Tamika aka mama bear who helped me with my trip, we emailed back and forth throughout my trip she kept checking in to see if we were ok. I really appreciated. If you are staying at this hotel I would recommend getting in contact with her for any of your needs!

Amazing and relaxing stay! I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the towels. Love the private crystal blue beach and white sand! The ambience is oriented to families and young children.
