Really nice location. Plenty of parking. Room was nice and clean, bed comfy everything as expected really. Spa facilities were great, generous time slots and staff helpful. Only thing was the lockers in the changing rooms need some money spending on them, they not great. There’s a pub and a cake shop on site and a few other artisan type shops. Would definitely go back.

Some rules would be useful to prevent people leaving the spa and entering the hotel lobby/bar and restaurant either without shirts, just an open bathrobe etc. Also with all of the meeting rooms there is no reason for management to hold meetings in the hotel lobby. Some of us are happy to forget all about work when on holiday.

Had its nice days I am sure but the hotel is quite dated, rooms, corridors were stuffy and old decoration. The breakfast was poor. The best part was the spa, which has a very nice thermal section with a nice open feature, but again it was far better before all the houses built in front of it

It’s a lovely hotel swimming pool gym facials staff are really helpful especially Michell on reception well done Michell deserves a star The only downside was the food some uneatable worse than any hotel I’ve been too we ended up going elsewear for our food we did complain the second night needs looking into I had the same sweet two nights one was really good strawberries cream biscuits delicious the second night they forgot the cream and strawberries and only one biscuit Sorry

Excellent service and place to stay

It was a nice enough hotel but I didn’t like the fact that you were charged for everything. The rooms were clean but fairly basically kitted out and for the luxury market they are aiming for they are slightly missing the beat. The service was ok but a little slow or not quite on the ball. Staff were friendly but temporarily lost an ice pack of mine, forgot my gluten free toast at breakfast and gave me a tiny tiny pot of tea that was half full for breakfast. The breakfast was ok but nowhere near as extensive as most hotels. The pool and thermal suite area were nice and also clean. We also ate at the pub on site, but was disappointed with the lack of gluten free options and the very very loud music playing that made it difficult to speak. We asked for a fan as the room was very hot and the windows were tiny and we did eventually get one.

Third time I’ve stayed here and will probably stay again next year.

The overall vibe is brilliant

We had a good experience. Beautiful place, great scenery, the facilities Saunas, Steam rooms, hydrotherapy pools were spot on 👌. If you need a getaway with luxury, all in one then I would recommend.

A lovely location. Room had everything we needed for a short stay. Several options for eating and our evening meal, at the Drop Inn, was tasty and plentiful. Some customer service was perfunctory but on the whole, for the price and the location, it was good value.

I stay here alit as it has everything you need as a.home from home.

Room was really good for the price. There was kettle and tea or coffee. No water bottle. Fairly small room

Cleanliness excellent. Spa and pool excellent. Restaurant menu has changed and for me was disappointing. Lots of steak choices. No salads rice or pasta dishes which I expect were on the bar menu. Unfortunately the bar has a TV on 24/7 so not an ideal alternative to the restaurant unless you can eat outside. Overall a lovely stay. For me the restaurant was the only disappointment..but that's a personal view from someone who has stayed for the past 6 years

The staff were amazing, everyone I met were friendly helpful and pleasant. Whilst the bedroom was clean and the bed comfy I was a bit disappointed that the carpet had seen better days and there was a fair amount of dust on the shelf of the wardrobe which I removed before using. In fact, there was a lot of dust all over the wooden surfaces that I went past. I took advantage of the Drop Inn and the Bakehouse, both served delicious food.

Great pool area, unique village type set up outside of the main hotel, glorious setting to the rear with fields and country lanes/walks
