Beautiful hotel in picturesque Wansford. What a lovely location, quaint village. Walks by the riverside and a fantastic facility. Both dinner & breakfast were great, great choice of wines and beers at the bar. Lovely outside area to sit and take in the atmosphere. I'd imagine a great wedding reception could be had here. Lots of outside space including a large marquee whilst I was there. Shout out Thomas who was nothing less than a perfect host in the bar. Can't recommend this gem enough.

Wow what a fabulous find this hotel was. From the moment we walked through the door we were met by a friendly receptionist who showed us around. We had a garden patio room and it was gorgeous. Our evening meal was divine, I had Stonebass and my husband had Tomahawk Pork. Breakfast was outstanding, the best my husband says he has ever had! We will be returning.

Our room had a very comfortable bed and pillows and the decor was calm and stylish. The bathroom was also very smart. There was a large mirror in the bedroom for me to do my make up but no plug socket nearby for the hairdryer or my hot brush. One strange thing was there was no light switch for the bathroom, the light seemed to come on automatically at times and also go off just as randomly leaving you in the complete dark! It also meant that we had to take the room key out of the main point by the door in order to stop the bathroom light from staying on through the night. This is a beautiful hotel, each public room very elegantly and differently styled and Wansford is a really pretty village.

lovely setting in the bucolic village of Wansford, elegant hotel with very well kept and attractive interior. Check in was great with a very helpful member of staff, full of information about the hotel and different dining styles. We had a great night in a comfortable room, well appointed. Our only problem was that the breakfast service was very slow. I understand that the service was very busy but from arrival to redelivery of our breakfast was over 3/4 of an hour, and some people who arrived after us were served before us. I guess that we were forgotten and staff thought that someone else was looking after us. When the breakfast did arrive it was very good. Sadly, the delayed service marred what would otherwise have been a great stay. If we return to the area we would saty again but try to ensure a speedier service for our breakfast.

On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome. The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection. Overall it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again.

This property is exceptional. Great location and fantastic atmosphere and a great mix of modern amenities mixed with a traditional building appearance. The breakfast was superb and the room comfort was exceptional but beyond all that the thing that makes this place one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at is the staff. All incredibly helpful but beyond that personable and able to converse or have a brief joke while still carrying out their work incredibly efficiently. You’ll not be disappointed by a stay here and I would highly recommend it.

Really dog friendly room, terrace onto the garden, dogs’ beds and bowls provided. And no negative comments from the poor cleaning staff when one of the dogs left muddy footprints on the bed.

On arrival gentleman at reception very helpful, showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know. Room was big and amazing bathroom was clean and big with double shower cubicle plus a freestanding bath, room was large clean and had everything required. Was there for a wedding which was in a superb venue. Next morning went to breakfast staff very helpful and polite, plenty of choice and fried breakfast was amazing and flavoursome. Overall a superb stay.

The hotel was beautiful, with the add Christmas feel. We stayed for one night, for a visit to Burghley House Christmas Market, it was perfect location. Dinner and breakfast was good, however a little expensive. The room was warm, cost and had all amenities needed. The only complaint, was the bed was a little hard. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Haycock Hotel.
