Always a lovely experience staying here. Staff are very pleasant, do their job with pride and great ability. Bedrooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Hotel is central yet peaceful,. Always our first choice in Chester

The reception staff were excellent so polite and helpful. Great classy hotel. Service is excellent in all areas. Room was very quirky but in a nice way . Very dark wallpaper lovely huge bed and linens. Breakfast was ok for free. Capuccino was delicious. Would we go back? Definitely just not for a long while as it is being restored in September so closed for a long time. Cant wait to see refurbed hotel .

From the moment of arriving to leaving i could not fault my stay at the Grosvenor Hotel Chester ..from the warm welcome to the accommodation and amazing upgrade to celebrate 50 + years as a nurse in the NHS...thank you!

Beautiful, clean and centrally located. Perfect for exploring Chester. The staff were so pleasant and helpful to us whenever we called on them for help.

Unfortunately we had to go home at 10 pm as the air conditioning in our room was not working it was so hot we were sweating in the room. There were no other rooms available

The hotel is in the middle of center city about an 18 minute walk (uphill) from the train station. It's a grand old hotel with incredibly helpful and professional staff. The hallways might need a refresh sometime soon but are spacious and well maintained. Our room was also spacious with a true king size bed and fresh, crisp linens. There were two closets and a full size desk. The bathroom was also great size but alas has very old taps (separate hot and cold water) which we had a very difficult time turning on and off (they need to be repaired/replaced). The bathtub (large) had a rain shower but no hand held sprayer. The drain would not hold water in the tub. Breakfast is included with a nice offering of coffee/teas, cereals, porridge, granola, yogurt and breads but can also be upgraded to egg offerings for a very reasonable cost. The staff at the hotel are just wonderful - helpful, pleasant, patient and very professional. Daily housekeeping is top notch. I would definitely return but do consider a taxi if you're walking to/from the train station with luggae.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The building is historic but still maintains a level of grandeur. The rooms are big and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent.

This lovely 5 star hotel is worth the stay. Staff are very attentive and our room (while a long way from the lift was very nice, more a suite than a room. (332). It is looking a little old fashioned which is probably why it is closing this Autumn so go while you can or wait maybe two years! The included continental breakfast was ample.

Excellent hotel as always. Will be better after it closes for modernisation- usb sockets required etc but this is a very minor point. This is our favourite hotel in Chester, service and quality are second to none

Perfect night stay and one for the bucket list as a local to Chester. Staff were extremely helpful and the continental breakfast was perfect , which we had in our room. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. Very helpful staff. Room very very tired and dated. Bathroom awful with shower over bath . Water didn’t drain away so had to stand in the water. Good continental breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room. As did our daughter and son in law. Both rooms were lovely. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is in a great central location. We had room service for breakfast both mornings. Our daughter ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both were very nice. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the room cool enough during the heatwave but the hotel were quick in providing us with a fan to help. We would highly recommend a stay at The Chester Grosvenor. We certainly look forward to staying there agin.
