It's an amazing area for visiting Oslo since from Hersfyr station it's only 4 stops by train until Oslo central. Scandic Helsfyr is a formidable Hotel

Lovely breakfast! Nice rooms. Perfect for our family of four

Best breakfast ever!

The Staff were amazing, very helpful and responsive! The breakfast was impressive! The only thing that didn't work correctly was the fan in the bathroom, but when we requested a small fan, housekeeping immediately brought one to our room. Thank you, and I hope we get to return for another visit!

Hotel was easy to get to from Helsfyr station and well located between popular Oslo attractions and the room was clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Staff were always helpful and answered any questions we had. And breakfast was absolutely phenomenal!

Overall a fine stay but we waited over an hour for dinner and it was a very long time when you have children.

It was great hotel. Even when it was a little bit dar from Oslo City center, it perfectly well localices and you can reach the most important spots by train, bus and car. I lo es the brealfast, waiters were extremely friendly.

The extra bed for our two tired kids was not ready upon arrival. There was only prepared 3 duvet so we had to ask for for- so we could all have one.

Good Scandinavian hotel

The hotel was lovely and clean. Very comfortable. The breakfast choices were amazing. So much to chose from. The hotel itself is situated seven minute train journey from the city centre. Staff were very helpful

Very good and very serviceminded

The hotel was one of the nicest I’ve stayed in. The bed was so comfortable and everything in the room is of high quality. The breakfast is fantastic, it has so many options you won’t go hungry. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning to this hotel next year.

Nice bar

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, and the service from everyone we encountered was professional, and courteous - top-notch. What made our stay, though, was Philip at the front desk. We had left a backpack at a museum earlier in our trip and only discovered it after closing time. Since we were staying a couple of hours away and wouldn't be back, we called the museum the next morning to have it shipped to our Oslo hotel later that week. They graciously overnighted it to make sure we'd get it in time and paid out of pocket with the expectation we'd reimburse them. Incredible, right? But that's Norway, where doing the right thing is second nature. Anyway, the backpack was waiting for us at the Scandic, and front desk staff helped us locate the museum's bank in Oslo, only bank staff wouldn't allow us to make payment (it's a looong story). Back at the Scandic, Philip heard our tale of woe and went far, FAR beyond his job duties to help us get payment to the museum. We've encountered many incredibly helpful people in our travels over the years, but this was service above and beyond. In the future, when we reminisce about our trip, his efforts on our behalf will be as much a part of our memories as viewing an Icelandic eruption, running the Stockholm marathon, seeing relatives, cruising the fjords, and standing atop the Kjeragbolten. We were gobsmacked at what he did for us. Bravo, Philip! You and the Scandic Heksfyr epitomize customer service.
