The pool was closed, the breakfest lounge was closed. Breakfest consisted of an apple and granola bar in the room. I thought Expedia was supposed to monitor that stuff?

The hotel was under construction which was a surprise. There was a weird long underground hallway to get across to the other side of the street where our room was. Without even an exit or entrance to get back in from that side. Nothing f against st the staff. It was just poorly planned. Therefore - the pool was way too far away to even consider. The luggage cart was a must for such a distance and that was an inconvenience to get it down and up 2 elevators.

Surprised I could not book an extra night. Made no effort to help.endef up having to stay at a dump hotel called Charlotte conference centre.

They charged $200 for a security deposit, but their policy doesn't say it, and they still charged it. But until now, they have not refunded it yet; it's already one week.

No pool . Renovation going on , says pet friendly but only one building and it’s the old one and it costs 25$ a day too

I booked this hotel because of location, parking, low cost, breakfast included, pool and WiFi. I knew it was under renovation because of last year’s reviews so hoped they would have almost finished it by now. We knew breakfast was no longer offered about 6 weeks before arrival, but I thought I’d struggle to find anything else in that time. On the plus side the staff were very good, the bed was comfortable, housekeeping was good and the tv worked. The first room we were given was a pre refurb, gloomy (window looked out through a blind to the gym), dank and smelly with no working air con so after 20 mins we requested another room and they moved us to an almost complete newly refurbished one, (one wire hanging from ceiling did not bother us) which was much better - clean and with natural light. The temporary air con unit was noisy but worked fine. I had one swim in the yet to be refurbished pool before it was closed with a pump issue. The WiFi stopped working in our room after 2 days but seemed to be ok everywhere else - they offered us another room but we could not be bothered packing up again. The shower had to run for about 6 to 7 minutes before anything like hot water arrived. The fridge did not seem to have any controls and froze everything solid. The sound proofing between the rooms is non-existent and the roof in our corridor leaked into buckets when it rained. If you can find somewhere else take it - it will be a few years before this hotel is ready for guests.

The property is under renovation. We had no hot water for our stay. We were not given any compensation for the lack hot water and were unavle to shower.The trim in the bathroom was held up with packing tape. The place is in disaray and falling apart. I would not recommend staying here.

There's was no hot water. Otherwise it was okay. But I wasn't notified ahead of time and don't believe that they weren't already aware. I was in my car for 17 hours and a shower mattered more than a bed to me. Book at your own risk, especially while their renovations are still underway

They were ...are renovating this location, decent weight room with TV, and a punching bag...never seen that before, my room was clean, It is close to downtown, safe and the staff was wonderful. Looks like it was something back in the day....I wonder if they will be able to recreate that.

Olace was under construction ( never said that on website) Staff was there and that's about it, no breakfast but it said there wasn't a site, we stayed here many times before this time will be the last, the place stank, hair in the tub, go elsewhere, save yourself

We booked a 'renovated' room with 2 Queen beds and breakfast included in January. Once arrived there, we received a room with 2 double bed into an old crappy section of the hotel, full of construction around the room, and no Breakfast was offered. The staff never advised us or let us know that we were downgraded other than after we complaint and brought theses issues up, so that was rather frustrating. So we complained to the staff, told them that we would have never booked there knowing that we would have this crappy bedroom., The staff told me the see the manager the next day at 9AM. The next day, the manager was not there at 9:15 AM, the staff called the manager, and the manager would not answer his phone. Finally after 3 attempts, they reach the manager, he would not talk to us, would not come to the office to meet us, and he told the staff to only refund us one night out of the 2 nights that we booked. I contacted Hotels.com Customer Service and finally got my 2 nights refund. I would avoid this hotel at all cost, very bad customer service, and very bad accomodation overall.

Good stay

The room was old, and musty smelling with what looked like black mold throughout. Power bars into the wall (which is all you could use to plug into) all had the grounding pegs removed and the lights connected would flicker (fire hazard), floor was uneven and the carpet was old and filthy, the window was not secure. I would highly recommend staying anywhere else! The window to our room did not lock and was directly above a landing where anyone could access. The window also completely blew into the room one day out of the frame from the wind. Ceiling fixtures were so old and half attached and filthy with perhaps black mold as well. Other rooms on that same floor that they tried to move us into after were in similar conditions. They try to tell you they are 'under renovations' however I am not convinced that is not just a cover story for a deteriorating building. We left partway through our stay, and the hotel would not honor expedias approval for a full refund. Please, do NOT stay here for the black mold exposure alone.
