Nice hotel that is close to the main attractions of the Bath city center whilst just far enough away from the night life to be quiet. The hotel is adjacent to a large parking garage and right next to a bus stop. The room was the largest we've had this trip, which is nice.

Awful hotel and stay. Lifts didn’t work. Staff lazy and not interested to help out. I suggest you don’t stay here

Visiting Bath for a rugby match meant the hotel was in a great location. Easy walking distance to the Rex. Easy walking distance to all the bars shops and restaurants. Lovely welcome from staff in reception, friendly bar staff - delicious food and food menu in the evening although some choices were not available at 8pm on a Saturday night despite there being only 3 tables filled. Great breakfast buffet. Only complaint for the weekend was reporting the toilet flush/ cistern not working properly in the room on the Saturday and nothing was done about it during our stay.

Pros: Good location. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Clean room. Cons: Poor pushchair access - no zebra crossing or dropped curb to access the entrance of the hotel. Shower was TERRIBLE! Water was not hot, just warm at best. NO water pressure whatsoever! It was a slow flow at first, after about 20 seconds it came to a drip, like a leaky tap. No slippers or bathrobes. TV kept losing signal. No free car park. Overall would not recommend, unless you don't need to use shower.

The hotel is in a good location and that is about all that is good about it. The room was small, as in tiny! It wasn't clean and the shower tray had some sort of burn marks on it, we also had issues with the toilet. The bed was a small double and not comfortable, massive shame. All reported to reception and they said sorry, but this is not acceptable for a hotel that is £100 per night. The drinks in the bar are extortionate at £13 for a lemonade and a beer, lesson learned to ask the cost first. Breakfast was buffet style, not very hot and the pastries were stale. I just wish places could do a nice buffet for a change. The manager has the cheek to decline a refund, because apparently everything was fine can go to hell with their lies. The car park was £18 per night, owned by another company I know, but should be so much cheaper. It's also not convenient to get in and out of with luggage. Never again.

We went to be in close proximity of the first dates restaurant as we were background diners. We travelled 3 1/2 hours from Cheshire to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The hotel staff looked after us so well. Thank you all for making our trip so enjoyable and memorable.

Checking in was the highlight as room was ready. The reason the room may have been ready as aircon wasn't working so cold during the day and hot at night.it was a known about issue and never resolved fully though i was given a fan and offered a blow heater! First breakfast we were treated like children who might sit on a table for four although there was only 2 of us. Passed on cleaning for 2 nights but asked for water but that was unavailable so went to Waitrose next door. When i did want new towels and cleaning yet again nothing happened between 9am and our return at 4pm so had to ask reception for towels. They came and offered a clean at 5.30pm on our last night.. Having stayed at Doubletree in Nottingham i thought it would be 600 well spent... no.. room was tiny for a king bed as well.. wouldn't bother.

Really enjoyed our stay here at doubletree Hilton in Bath. Very convenient for Bath local sights. The staff were so helpful and friendly which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Food in the restaurant was great for evening meal as was the breakfast selection . We will definitely be back.

The hotel is very well positioned in Bath and so it scores well for location. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. However we paid £255 for a one night stay with no breakfast in March and were given a small room with a view of solar panels on the hotel roof. The pillows were old and lumpy and whilst wet and in the shower, I found there was no conditioner for my long hair. There is no parking at the hotel so we also paid £18 for the nearby Podium car park. Small gripes but at that price, I expect a bit more.

The location is great and central for the cities main attractions and bars/eateries/shops are all reachable on foot. The breakfast at the hotel was great quality. However…. We were very much disappointed by the room and preparedness. We payed for a superior queen and the first room was indeed nicely laid out; desk, fridge, nice view of the river.. but a dirty smudge up the wall in the bedroom, remainder of balloon ribbon tied to a ventilation grate, no towels and broken heating! The latter clearly being a known issue as there was as a token plug in oil radiator in the room. How can you knowingly place paying guests in a room with no heating in February with temperatures falling below freezing!! It was late evening when we came to put the heating on that we realised this and went to reception only to have to battle with ‘there’s no other superior queens available’ and try to be presented with a downgrade. After some debate we were then placed in what was supposedly an upgrade to a King room… and had to move all our stuff, with no offer of help at 11pm to the new room…. The new room overlooking the busy main road, with no fridge, no replenished te and coffee, less space and a minuscule bathroom… that was supposed to be an upgrade… Very. Very poor Doubletree I’m afraid
