Really enjoyed our stay here at doubletree Hilton in Bath. Very convenient for Bath local sights. The staff were so helpful and friendly which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Food in the restaurant was great for evening meal as was the breakfast selection . We will definitely be back.

The hotel is very well positioned in Bath and so it scores well for location. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. However we paid £255 for a one night stay with no breakfast in March and were given a small room with a view of solar panels on the hotel roof. The pillows were old and lumpy and whilst wet and in the shower, I found there was no conditioner for my long hair. There is no parking at the hotel so we also paid £18 for the nearby Podium car park. Small gripes but at that price, I expect a bit more.

The location is great and central for the cities main attractions and bars/eateries/shops are all reachable on foot. The breakfast at the hotel was great quality. However…. We were very much disappointed by the room and preparedness. We payed for a superior queen and the first room was indeed nicely laid out; desk, fridge, nice view of the river.. but a dirty smudge up the wall in the bedroom, remainder of balloon ribbon tied to a ventilation grate, no towels and broken heating! The latter clearly being a known issue as there was as a token plug in oil radiator in the room. How can you knowingly place paying guests in a room with no heating in February with temperatures falling below freezing!! It was late evening when we came to put the heating on that we realised this and went to reception only to have to battle with ‘there’s no other superior queens available’ and try to be presented with a downgrade. After some debate we were then placed in what was supposedly an upgrade to a King room… and had to move all our stuff, with no offer of help at 11pm to the new room…. The new room overlooking the busy main road, with no fridge, no replenished te and coffee, less space and a minuscule bathroom… that was supposed to be an upgrade… Very. Very poor Doubletree I’m afraid

Stayed one night, room was ok a little small For the cost it seemed overpriced,, also multstorey car park next door, no discount for guests at the hotel which I didn’t think was good, but the worst was the following morning, no hot water, boiler problems, I asked if they would compensate for this and was told bluntly no, I have stayed at this chain in Glasgow and had major issues and thought I’d give them a chance, never again

This is slightly unloved hotel. I was glad it was in such a great location. Cold showers for the whole hotel . No apologies not even informed. Generally a disappointing experience.

Quiet rooms and friendly staff. My check-in was delayed by an hour but they compensated me for this inconvenience without me needing to negotiate. One thing to keep in mind is that parking fees are additional to your stay at £18 per 24 hours; limited parking on-site so you need to use the adjacent carparks. Although this is mentioned in the small print it caught out severest guests who made their feelings known to staff who handled it well. You should also note it is situated on roads where a clean air charge is enforced at £15 per day (if your vehicle is non-compliant) making the stay even more expensive.

The hotel is nice, with a lovely reception and breakfast area. We were upgraded to a slightly larger room which was a good job since even that wasn’t very big, however this is to be expected in an old city with space at a premium. The bathroom was fairly dirty, the shower in particular and it leaked a lot over the floor each time we showered. Bed wasn’t too comfortable and we didn’t sleep well, then there was a lot of noise early in the morning, likely from other rooms. You could hear people moving upstairs a doors closing from some way away. Breakfast was good, maybe a little basic but nice. Great location being right in the center. Overall ok and likely the right price point but would look at alternatives next time.

Room was clean tidy and very comfortable. Only problem there was air conditioning unit right outside our window to the right of the room . This was continuously going off and on all night . Kept me awake all night . Disappointed if I’m honest but everything was lovely .
