Hotels.com verified review

Booked the room 3 days in advance through Hotels.com got to hotel and front desk did not have the reservation even though we had the confirmation number and email. Front desk worker did not have access to the hotel email when hotels.com resent it. Ended up canceling the reservation and staying somewhere else.

Overall, this was a very nice and clean hotel. The staff at check-in was very sweet and knowledgeable about the area-she gave me tips on avoiding traffic. Traffic is the only issue I had with the hotel. It is located at a somewhat busy traffic light near the main highway and there has been some construction near the light. This made it challenging sometimes to get in and out of the hotel area. Also, the breakfast area is somewhat small and uncomfortable moving around at times when other guests were sitting in the breakfast area. I would definitely stay again though.

The staff was nice and friendly and worked hard. It seems to be an older hotel and does not have an elevator or automatic doors which makes it harder to bring luggage in and out on the second floor. My credit card was charged 50 dollars as well-I was told this was a security deposit but 5 days later after my stay is when I was charged with no explanation whatsoever. The staff was nice but due to these issues, I don't know that I would stay again and I feel that 50 dollar charge to my credit card should have been removed and should not be there this long after my stay.

It was Hurricane Helena and no power for several days so the hotel won't let my husband check in but they also won't give us our money back! We were flooded n we understand that they won't let us check in ! But if so, then they should not take our money they should refund us!!!!!!!!!!

I did not like they did not cleanmy room but one time I requested it to be clean everyday, I asked the housekeeper why and she say cause they had a lot of checkouts, it made me feel like I was not important once I was n there and I was very upset cause I feel I should have had the same just like I checked n

Three reservations paid, the flight for two was rescheduled for the next day due to the weather, the hotel checked in without the guests present and when I called the attendant was very rude and did not accept changing the reservation for the next day, even saying that There were no reservations, horrible service, I paid for 3 rooms for two nights and only 1 was used. MICROTEL in Duncan, SC, never again.

We were in room # 118 on the first floor and there was a strong smell of mildew. Maybe from the air conditioner, items in the room were damp like sheets and towels and our clothes.
