The location and restaurant were excellent

Great staff, nice restaurant with good food. Close to shops and railway station. Beautiful hotel.

I was welcomed with a very customer orientated front desk personnel, Hats off to them, they had the right person in the right position. Room was nice and beds were good also. Just a short walk to the city

Nice location, walking distance from city center. No minibar was a surprise (negative). Tried 30mins to get screen sharing work with the TV without success, really bad. We spent previuous night in Tammer and their TV had chromecast which was very intuitive and took 1 minute to get it into use. Restaurant service was not good. We gave some feedback about overcooked salmon salad which had far too much mayo but told also that duck confit was nice. Waitress comment was that good that you got at least something to eat then.

Hotel is nicely located on the lake front and conveniently located at a walking distance from Rail Station and about 1 km from Town Market Square. Rooms are clean and we had good sleep but otherwise average with respect to the amenities provided for the price we paid. There was not even a tea/coffee arrangement in the room and hotel didn't even offer to provide when asked for. Room WiFi is slow and TV on WiFi goes into freeze and buffering frequently. Breakfast is good but you will get reminders to hurry up as it approaches 10 am. There was no dinner/bar available as both the restaurants were closed even on a Saturday weekend evening forcing us to go outside walking in the rain for dinner in the Market Square and back in rain.

The hotel location is very beautiful and staff was kind. However, the bed could be more comfortable. I would also like to have a small fridge and water boiler in the room. And restaurant is closed at lunch time during week and sundays night, for someone working late and weekends, it is not very practical that restaurant is closed and there are not a lot of options close to hotel.

Nice cozy little city. Restaurants and city center within walking distance (7 min walk) Hotel with amazing view. Minor note was we asked for double bed and got two single together.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel has had its restaurant updated since my last stay making it comfortable and welcoming...

We stayed overnight after a visit to see the city and the castle of Hämeenlinna. The room was comfortable and clean, the only complaint was that the windows were not openable, and the air conditioner was mildly weak, so we couldn't get a good air circulation going, and it was a bit stuffy.

We spent a night here, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast, 10-15 minute walk to city centre and restaurants

Room was clean and comfortable. The only bit annoying thing was that the roomdoor wasn't very sound proof and you could hear noises from the corridor quite loud. Breakfast was good, not exceptional but good basic stuff. Staff were friendly and everything went swiftly. Food in the restaurant was good as well.

The Sokos Hotel Vakuuna is conveniently located for all attractions in Hämeenlinna. The bikes available to guests were an added bonus, although it's worth checking that they have been well maintained before venturing out on them! The Hotel has been recently refurbished. The breakfast was adequate.

Good standard hotel. Rooms are freshly re-furbished (Summer 2014?). Parking is the major glitch - over €10/night... Makes other hotels with similar standards/service better value.
