The reception counter is only open for short period. I had the problem with the WiFi from Friday night to Monday morning. They came in Monday morning to fix it. Otherwise, the stay was perfect.

This was a wonderful base for our recent Adelaide holiday! We couldn’t believe how cheap it was (compared with other major cities) for the location it was in! Mansions on Pulteney is a short walk (on the same block) as Rundle Mall, and about 30 metres from North Terrace which was our “happy place” as it was filled with our favourite things - the Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens, and in the opposite direction the Torrens foreshore precinct. From the outside the hotel did look vintage and a bit quirky, but once inside it took on a whole other dimension with its renovated spaces! We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which literally just blew our minds!!! Everything about this room felt luxurious!! Loved the decor, the attention to detail with art deco styling, from the mirrors, armchairs and lamps, to the use of colour which literally made it feel very homely as though we were staying in a wing of a mansion. Nothing about this place felt old or crusty - it was a stunning renovation (we felt) which made us feel relaxed and chilled when we were there. There was lots of room - separate bedroom, bathroom at the end of the corridor and separate kitchen and dining space. It’s the type of space you need as a traveller so you can put your suitcases down and not be tripping over them to get to the couch or the bathroom or whatever! The kitchen was also a godsend as we didn’t always want to eat out at night. We loved this place and would easily stay there again!!!!!!!

Not a bad property but on a noisy street. Needs sound proofing.

The website says there is onsite parking which is incorrect. Parking is actually in a multi storey parking station across the road from the hotel, so therefore offsite, which was rather inconvenient. You also then have to return to the hotel after you have exited the carpark after checking out in order to return the swipe. No where to drop the swipe when exiting the Wilson Car Park at the end of your stay. When we booked the one bedroom apartment there was no mention of any stairs inside the apartment. Luckily when I got there, I mentioned my husband was on a rollator, and the staff were able to change us to a studio room with no stairs. If there are stairs in a guest room, it really should be mentioned somewhere. The room was furnished beautifully and tastefully and was very spacious. The flooring with all the creaks and groans and being very uneven, unfortunately lets it down, as you can hear the guests walking around in the room above you too, which often kept us awake late at night and woken really early in the morning. The general area outside is quite noisy with a bar next door and a laneway at the rear where you hear people yelling and carrying on very loudly at all hours. This may suit people there to party and who have little luggage etc and therefore with no issues with any of the above points, but unfortunately I doubt we will return for these reasons, which is no reflection on the staff who were very accommodating and pleasant.

Clean, comfortable. Desperately need blackout curtains, or an additional layer installed - huge amount of light penetrates room when trying to sleep. I had to hang towels etc to get some sleep. There is a dust issue that seems linked to the aircon, which is inefficient. Two things which could be easily remedied to make this somewhere I would happily recommend. Good condition, great location, good facilities in room.

Safe street access & lift. Very clean, spacious & modern refurbished rooms. Bed & pillows excellent. Hi quality appliances & linen. Good water pressure in shower. Kind & courteous staff especially Kevin at reception who was also very thorough & professional. Great affordable location near shops & transport. Only slight inconvenience was a slow wifi. Would definitely stay again & refer to family & friends.
