It is a clean and friendly environment for the lower cost of a room

Clean, quiet and the service at the reception was excelent.

It fits my budget and accessible, even though it's on a busy road.

The staff is what I love most about this property. Each person I've met at the Monte Carlo has gone out of their way to make out stay wonderful. Whether it's by opening the continental breakfast 30 minutes early, or offering a late checkout, it's been awesome. Rooms are clean, and have everything we need. And, the price is great!

Initially, we were given the wrong room—much smaller than what we had booked; however, after notifying the front desk, we were given the correct room after a short period. When we got to our room, it was nice and spacious, much larger than the other rooms provided, and much larger than the room we had booked on our first stay. Unfortunately, one of the two TVs in the room was not working, but that wasn't a huge issue. The jacuzzi bath did not seem very clean, and that was a bit of a turnoff. We also struggled to find any garbage bins to dispose of our garbage in and only found one tiny one in the entirety of the room. Most hotels offer at least one in the washroom and one in the main room. The roll-down curtains can be finicky to use and often jam when pulling down. Both times we've stayed here, the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows as well, and my husband and I both woke up incredibly tired and sore. Had I not accidentally booked this second stay, with no chance of a refund, I probably wouldn't have stayed here a second time. The staff were nice, but that's the only highlight of the facility.

Room was cold, evening shower was cold, bathroom door wouldn't close. The shower stall door didn't close properly and leaked. Internet was slow. The room I had reserved wasn't ready as of 5 pm, so I was given a different room that was ready, that opened directly outside. It was close to the street and very noisy. It had obviously been smoked in and the smell lingered. Too bad people aren't mroe considerate. Otherwise, the breakfast simple and effective. Definitely a bonus. A few simple improvements would go a long way.
