Completely beautiful and relaxing!

Setting is unbeatable... just beautiful. Rooms are nice (albeit slightly dated). Staff was outstanding all around. My only negative(aside from the exhorbitant price) was the shuttle system to the parking lot...I understand the need for that, and applaud the staff for their efficiency in management of the system, but it's still a hassle.

I did’t like its parking was far away from the suites and you needed to take a shuttle every time you wanted to access your car.

Although the parking is offsite, the hotel makes it very easy for you and the staff is amazing.

Paying for the view not the condition of the room. It’s a beautiful resort in the most beautiful setting. The rooms are old and need an upgrade. Bed was very comfortable. No AC. Wording the room type as Lake view is subjective because the trees are really starting to block the lake view. Room smelled like smoke from the fireplace.

So inconvenient to load of unload luggage’s! No parking at all, need to park rural and get shuttle to take you in and out ALWAYS!

Beautiful views. Staff were very helpful and seem happy to be there. Room was a bit dated and not as clean as we would have expected. Celantro restaurant was a great spot for lunch with friendly staff.

The location is stunning, surrounded by nature, a little corner of paradise. However, I was disappointed by the reception staff—rude and dismissive, especially upon our arrival—and even more by the condition of the room. The room wasn't clean, it smelled of damp clothes and mold, there were spider webs everywhere on the ceiling between the bathroom and the bed, and (even though they knew there would be two of us sharing the room) there was only one amenity kit for one of us, which we had to share... I'm very disappointed; it's definitely not worth the expense for just one night.

The place is lovely.

The property is somewhat tired and maintenance is an issue. Our room needed a new bed, for example. The restaurant was understaffed at breakfast and was very chaotic with non-existent service. The sauna was very nice. The main thing to know about this property is that views are very limited from the property itself due to the steep hill and dense trees. The property is also flooded with day visitors during the summer who really have nowhere to go as there is no open area by the lake. I would not stay here again during the summer.

Very disappointed. I kind of felt like a bait and switch. We paid for a nice room on the lake thru your website. When we got there, they changed it out to no Lakeview and older cabin with broken windows that didn’t open on a hot day. You have to wait for a shuttle cart to get to your cabin; not good if u have luggage because it will take at least an hour each way from the far away parking lot. I was hoping for a refund for the difference, but they didn’t comply because I didn’t book directly which was disappointing. Definitely will pass next time in the area. There are a lot better choices!!

Overlooking emerald lake, with free parking nearby (a free shuttle bus takes you to the hotel itself). The lake itself was very busy when we were there. The property was looking a little tired, it could do with a refresh. The lock on the room door for example, was quite difficult to open. However, the lounge bar was good and the food in the restaurant was excellent and quite good value.

Our Lodge was superb, absolutely stunning with prime views over the lake. Our room was huge with a separate lounge featuring a real wood burning fireplace, although it was very hot during the day 28 degrees it got cool very quickly in the evening and the wood burning fire was lovely to burn. The Burgess dining room was expensive but the food was delicious, our server Gemma was very knowledgeable, breakfast was buffet and had everything from continental to cooked, nothing was left out, our server Sara was very friendly. The only downside was the amount of day visitors making queues longer at the bar, and as hotel guests we had no priority and were unable to get a table at the Cilantro bar. We hired a canoe which I'd recommend as the views from the lake are stunning. Overall I'd definitely recommend staying at Emerald Lake, as it gets quieter after the day visitors leave.

Could not ask for a more beautiful setting! Accommodations are a little dated but that is an easy trade for such an amazing view. Dinner at the lodge was delicious.
