To start with we asked for a room on the ground floor due to me using a walker which did not happen, got stuck on the 2nd floor in a very small room which had been freshly painted so we had to run the bathroom vent the whole time with the ac fan running to help. We had 3 towels,1washcloth, and 1 hand towel for me and my wife. The shower did work well but no foot grips in the tub. Had a near fall getting out of it they need grab bars installed to help people be safe. The continental breakfast was pretty shabby. Had 1 fruit apples, some yogart white bread 1 kind of bagel and small muffins, saus gravy with a bisquit, juice, milk, coffee and 1 waffel maker. So it was pretty weak. Probably won't stay at that one again. The floor they put us on was under construction and carpert was shabby. We have stayed at other microtels and they were totally better. I guess you live and learn

We really enjoyed our week stay. They were under construction, is why i gave 4 on property condition. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We needed to upgrade to 2 queens (due to both of us having surgery). They easily and pleasantly completed the upgrade in seconds. We will definitely us Microtel in the future when we have appts in Sioux Falls.

I've stayed here prior and I'm honestly not a fan of the updates. My child just saw the wall hanging pegs as a jungle gym and I was having to fight to keep him off of them the whole time. There were also no sheets in the room for the pull out couch, and the bed had not had it's sheets changed during room clean over. I had several issues with the room remodel where things like outlets didn't work, my bathroom hair dryer couldn't even plug in, and I didn't even have a bathtub plug to bathe my toddler. When I went to retrieve sheets for the pull out bed, I caught the front desk clerk sleeping. There was also construction so I was woken up at 8am both mornings to the sound of glass shattering after being thrown out of second story windows. I wasn't very impressed at all with my stay, and I was even harassed to leave good reviews.

We had two rooms. In the handicap accessible room the faucet was almost not attached to the sink and the towel bar was super loose. For the other room, the initial room we were given, the door did not lock. You could open the door without a key, even with the safety latch on. In general, the rooms were very worn. The sheets were threadbare. The main entry door frame was super dirty. Some things could use periodic cleaning, like the top of the hair dryer casing was greasy looking dirt. The young man at the front desk was very polite and helpful resolving the issues, but management is not doing a good job with maintenance and cleanliness.

Room was very nice and updated. However lots of construction going on at the property. Staff stayed behind closed doors until you rang the bell for service.

Property is currently being renovated so there were some things such as the carpet in the hallways that's in pretty rough shape, but that's understandable due to the renovation. Our room was newly renovated and very nice but it could have used a final dusting to get that last bit of plaster dust off the floor and out of the coffee pot. Overall, nice place to stay. Once all the renovations are done it will be very nice.

Where to begin…the hotel is under construction, which generally isn’t an issue, but the whole hotel was under construction. Poor insulation so I could hear it as early as 6:00 am. Room was freshly painted but the painters didn’t cover the small 32” tv, lights above the bed, nor anything else creating paint speckles over everything. Shower rod was so poorly installed that the shower curtain wouldn’t stay on either end of the rod so I had to take the grommets and hook them onto the bases of the rod that were sticking out of the wall because there were previous holes from another shower rod. Holes in the shower ceiling, water damage above the window alcove with a wooden stick holding the window closed. TV on a precariously mounted arm. A power strip dangling on side of water damaged desk connecting the fridge, lamps, etc.; a definite fire hazard! Poor WiFi that I could never maintain service on and had to use my own hotspot. The bed was concave and I would roll to the middle once getting into bed. Side door always propped open due to construction with construction material throughout parking lot causing great concern for my car’s tires. No bell at front desk, therefore I waited for over 20 minutes to check out and get a receipt and eventually gave up waiting. The list goes on! I can guarantee that the Wyndam resort chain would be mortified that their name is associated with this hotel. It was so horrible that I took a video and just had to laugh.

The room had a dirty sock smell, carpets were very dirty. Toilet plugged up twice. Sink didn’t drain properly. The biscuits and gravy were cold both mornings.

I understand the property was doing some remodeling. Would of liked to know that prior of booking. Could also hear every step the above room guest walked.

Room smelled like cat urine, shower bar was literally falling off the wall. I understand they were remodeling, but should not rent a room like this with open 'new' rooms available. General condition was nothing like you'd expect from a major resort company.

The negatives are due to construction...that being said if you are fussy and dont get an updated room You might be annoyed. It is also noisy at certain hours. The staff i met was either indifferent or fussy....i called ahead for a quick check in ....by the way did not work all i got was ...is your dog a nuisance....but when i arrived could not access my room thru the hallway had to go outside and dodge the contruction activity outside as well while it was raining. Pretty sure my dog is the least of "nuisance" concerns here!!! On the flip side $88.00 at the last minute on a weekend...well the price is right. My dog was allowed for $20 a night...i had a clean, warm, and dry place to lay my head ....continental breakfast was left wanting...but filled the gaps...my puppers said he liked the biscuits and gravy after it was heated....bed was comfy so after a good nights sleep we will travel home! I would stay here again...especially if the updates were complete and I received a smile at the front desk. Traveling driver .

I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness, I had to call down for a tub plug, the TV was on closed caption as well as speaking but no one seemed to know if I could get it off. My room did not look like the picture, the bed and pillows weren't too great. I also thought it was a double bed room but it wasn't. I could not eat the food on the breakfast counter, it was really awful-biscuits and gravy just not good. I know they are working on some improvements on 3rd floor. I guess the most difficult thing was getting the bill paid??? My husband finally (from home) paid and it is just a mess. The bank will be checking into it. I won't be staying there again.

Well, when I stayed there. The blow dryer was broken and didn't work but was still in the bathroom, the door to the room didn't close fully every time unless you pushed it shut, The toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor, enough that there was a puddle we had to keep drying up. The shower head connection was broke and was shooting water up and against the wall. The Pillow policy is a bit ridiculous, they give you three pillows, two of which are about 18"x18" and one is normal. There is a hole in the floor and carpet that was "plugged" with a piece of plastic. The Cleaning crews tend to jam up the hallway with their carts. I can't count how many times I had to move their cart out from blocking the elevator or they held the elevator door opened while they finished their conversation with me sitting and waiting inside. The cops showed up to remove a squatter from the hotel as well. All in all, it felt clean enough, but don't think I will be headed back.
