Chevin House is very handy for Leeds Bradford Airport and is set in lovely woods. It is generally quiet, particularly in the woodland lodges. The rooms are comfortable and have all the necessary amenities. My only criticism is that the food has generally become worse since they were taken over. Everything was a bit salty and the choices of food and wine are limited. It was nicer when there was a big bar to sit in rather than just the restaurant which looks over the lovely pond, but isn't a place to just hang out and have a pint. They have clearly optimised the site for events like weddings. But overall, a nice place to stay and certainly my choice of the ones near the airport.

Have stayed here a few times but would maybe try somewhere else next time. It’s a shame but basic things let it down. No sugar in the room. Very poor tv signal which was so bad we could not watch the tv. When we mentioned it at reception we got told the signal was not good in that room. So why not sort it !! Dinner was excellent however the service was dismal. Waited 25 mins for our plates to be cleared and then another 25 minute wait for dessert. All in all very disappointing for the price.

When we got to the room the heating was on full and with the hotel being wooden it was like walking into a sauna. The bed was a very springy and you needed to hold tight if your wife was turning over. All in all we wasn’t able to sleep so left at 23:00 to go home.

Great place, been a few times now. Great spa facilities, love the birdsong, geese, ducks and squirrels. A piece of New England in Yorkshire.

In need of a refurbishment, hotel is very tired looking and not very clean. The skirting boards were thick of dust, the wardrobe smelt foisty when opened. The bathroom was very poor quality and looked like it had seen better days. The food was ok but very overpriced for the quality, £20 for fish and chips, which were on a par with Wetherspoons!!! Will not return. One good thing was the staff, they were very polite, welcoming and friendly

Stayed in one of the cabins, smelt very musty and seemed rundown. No shampoo in either of the despensers and I only found out whilst in the shower. Only a couple of channels worked on the t.v. For a £100 I would expect more!! I've stayed here quite a few times but this will be the last

Executive lodge = executive shed. Cheapest mattress money can buy. Generally worn out. Very clever photography has been used to show the lodge. The Gym is tiny with some old worn out equipment and a few weights. Enough for a quick workout but not enough for a serious workout

Cute room but in desperate need of a facelift. Love the concept and definitely not a bad stay (with a very comfy bed!) but could do with a bit of modernising. Staff were so so lovely and friendly!

Room was terrible, it was absolutely freezing. The small heater for the room was inadequate. There was a sofa in the room that looked like they had got it from the tip! Awful place, only upside was that I was not there that long

Room was smaller than expected, booked to accommodate us and two dogs, smelt damp and in aired. Advised breakfast only available between 7:30 and 8:30 on new years morning and health club facilities only available between 8 and 10. Rang day before to enquire about food on New Year’s Eve and told we could book at checking, at check in we were advised that restaurant was closed for a private party and only bar food available until 8:30. Food was OK but no better than average.

The fish and chips we ordered for two of our children was borderline/ off. We mentioned to the waiter. As a person that I had work in hospitality, we would have never charged the customer for it. I was not expecting full refund for their meals but at leats the part of that course. Also my girl order chicken and was burnt, I tried it myself and to be fair she was right that tasted to charcoal, I couldn't eat it myself. I forgot to mention about her, though. Also we would like to complaint that we booked thinking children we are allowed in the swimming pool, not the sauna or spa of course. The receptionist confirmed they were allowed but when we took them the staff in the swimming pool/spa said that children were not allowed. We when to double check but this time different receptionist and she just apologised. We did not feel very welcome or hear. A shame because room was very comfortable but after know this is not a family friendly hotel we won't come back.
