We enjoyed our stay here, friendly and helpful staff, clean throughout, £15 full cooked breakfast & buffet / bean coffee machine, spacious car park. Booked through Expedia App and very reasonable price.

A disappointing stay. We booked a classic double room which were nothing like photos very dated walls paper thin could hear everything from the noisy room of girls next door rang down to reception to request to be moved. Nice lady on phone said she would investigate where noise was coming from. Noise got louder so we ventured down to reception to insist we are moved away. An answer of no classic rooms available but if we paid £20 extra we could move to third floor where quieter & all the rooms refurbished. Feeling we had no choice paid the extra which was worth the money compared to the other room however a very cold night (in the minus and snowing outdoors) the radiator was not working the pipe to it hot but radiator not no matter how we had the thermostat.
We had visited August 2024 when the third floor upgraded rooms had just been newly refurbished & had a great time but this time it didn’t meet expectations. We would have paid the upgrade on booking but when looking into the rooms it made it seem that it was just the square foot measurements of the room and slightly bigger bed was the only difference this could not be further from the truth they say they are in the process of refurbishing the other bedrooms. Pay the extra to be on 3rd floor!
Another thing worth noting photos for booking show little sample bottles of designer toiletries but in reality ‘designer’ hand soap and shower gel fastened to the wall. Do feel the pictures for booking online are deceiving.

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff that welcomed us on the 1st of January we were attending a family funeral unfortunately I cannot remember the staff member that was so helpful. She was a white woman. She had her hair back in one and she had a trouser suit on she was so helpful and so kind she is an asset to your organisation and she supported us with us speech for the funeral and she was so helpful and I want to take time to say a big thank you to her she made us stay worthwhile.

Hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The room was comfortable, toilet needs attention with noisy flushing inadequate flow. The breakfast was very good. Parking charge was annoying though!

Nice hotel with good facilities. The paid-for parking leaves a bitter taste - especially as signage small, high up and confusing - especially in the dark and poor weather. It also costs more than advertised on Expedia. It wouldn't be difficult to add the parking charge to the room rate and save this hassle.
Check in is touch screen and impersonal. Again, not difficult to have a person do this.

My stay was pleasant with a good sized room and well designed en-suite. The aesthetic was decidedly corporate in feel and fitted theCheck-in was fine and relatively straightforward although the software design left something to be desired in terms of clarity. One or two slight niggles: no glass for the mineral water (nice touch) in room, bedding/room temperature not very warm. Room service fish and chips was quite nicely presented but was not as hot as it might have been and not all chunky chips were fully cooked. The service was very prompt and I would have been happy to wait a little longer to ensure the meal was piping hot. For some reason someone else’s screwed up receipt was also on the tray on which it was served.
