This hotel had a lot of nice touches, for its price point, that made our stay very comfortable - for example, a choice of pillows, but above all, having a good receptionist makes all the difference. We had been to Madrid multiple times and wanted to try a new hotel and new restaurants. We asked the receptionist for restaurant recommendations, she asked us where we had been and recommended similar style (but much better) restaurants. Every time we came and went we were greeted with a smile and big wave - such a nice friendly welcome was unexpected and very nice. Room was large enough for two, good sound proofing and comfortable - good air conditioning (very important as there was a heatwave) and space for bags, shopping, etc. Guest slippers and plenty of hangers in the closets were appreciated. This was the first time we stayed at H10 and we would return next time we visit.

Best location and service

The location of the hotel is excellent- we walked everywhere. The room was big and nice- I didn't even realize we would have a large patio. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful historic hotel , great location

Excellent location. Close to Prado & Palacio Real. Plenty of good restaurants right down the street. Lots of shopping and the buildings on the Gran Via are beautiful. Great breakfast and the hotel service is exceptional. They will help you with anything to make your stay a good one.

Excellent place in an excellent location.

This property was okay, but does not meet the criteria of a 4-star. It is 3.5 star, at best. The rooms were too small and really needed refurbishing. The bathrooms need chalking repair, the fixtures are dated, and the makeup mirror should be lighted. There was no real "attentiveness" to guests and no real room service. We asked for extra towels that arrived the day later. If you ask for ice, you get a glass rather than a bucket. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. Scrambled eggs were spongy and over-easy eggs were cold. Pancakes were cold and we didn't know what to do with them. Churros would have been better heated. Coffee machines were sometimes not working (needed to be emptied). Overall, fine... but certainly not 4-star quality. Finally, we stayed on floor 1 and it was vrry noisy all night long and woke is up many times. We realize this is a "boutique" hotel, but still does not rate 4 stars. So, perhaps a bit overpriced for what it really is.

This was absolutely not a four star property as advertised. The staff for the most either spoke no English or very limited English. The property needed serious renovations. My headboard to my bed had obvious stains and the bath needed a total renovation. The shower door did not close and the fixtures and caulking were terrible. Not a four star hotel.

Great location for a long weekend with my son, to watch a couple of football matches, visit museums and enjoy fabulous food.

Wonderful hotel, close to everything. Staff was excellent

This hotel was satisfactory but not worth the cost. The room was of moderate size but they wedged a king sized bed in for some reason. We asked for directions at the front desk and they told us to go the wrong way. Short summary…for the cost of this room, you could do better.

Great location on the Grand Via. Walking distance to major sights. Lobby bar was very nice. Rooms were a bit dated but quiet.

Location is ideal, smack dab in the middle of Gran Via, Chueca to the north, museums to your south. Lobby of hotel is charming and cozy. Our junior suite, however, was choppy, with the bathroom stuck between the small sitting area and small bedroom with about 18" around the bed. As a resulr both spaces belt tight. Furniture and appointments modern and attractive but nothing is as elegant as the lobby pics, just so you know. Our shower door was hanging loose off its hinge so would not close. We reported this on first day. Never fixed in three. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and hearty, but not fancy or particularly attractive. The automated espresso machines make terrible espesso drinks. For sweet lovers, there are churros and a liquid chocolate machine. I would have preferred an omelette, but i get the appeal for families.

This hotel was great for our stay in Madrid. The staff was great- they showed us what to do to make the most of our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
