The property is gorgeous and so clean and well maintained. Every person is so friendly and helpful.. Our room was very comfortable and well stocked. The view from our room was amazing as it looked out over two of the pools, the cabana grill and the ocean. Our group played beach volleyball and it was so fun. Buffet was good and the fresh grilled options are the best choice. The restaurant "Sisal" had outstanding food and i loved both our meals there. I dont drink much but unlike a cruise boat these were not watered down. The photography staff was so talented. The shops inside had what you to enjoy on your vacation. We will be back...

We were offered two free 50 minute massages if we sat through their presentation for timeshares. When we told them we were not interested, they brought in another person who was quite pushy. Finally had to get rude and tell them we were finished, 40 minutes past the agreed upon time frame. Upon completion of the presentation we were only given one free massage for our time. Furthermore, the beds in the "top tier" rooms were extremely hard and uncomfortable. They did bring us two mattress covers when we complained about it. Will not be returning to this establishment, and probably won't visit their other establishments either.

Concierge and front desk staff were dishonest and overall poor quality. The “deposit” is not a deposit at all, the hotel works like a child entertainment center where you basically load money into your account and have to recharge it if it runs out. Once your funds run out on your account, your room keys shut off until you go to the front desk to “reload” your funds, literally unable to get into your room. You are treated like a VIP until you deny buying the timeshare, at which point you are treated totally differently. Do not accept the “discounted” excursions as they pull you into a 5 hour trip that they do not notify you of, where they drop you off at different locations like a jewelry store and a market where you can’t leave until they come back to pick you up and are basically forced to buy the products they are selling, a 100% scam. Won’t ever stay at a Royal Resort again.

The location of this resort is absolutely stunning. They have a very good piece of real estate on the beach. Staff are very welcoming and polite as well. My one negative experience which is a pretty big one is the quality of the food. I was extremely disappointed on how bland and disgusting the food was. Honestly the quality reminded me of hospital food. But other than that everything else was great.

I was not made aware that this was a time share and we would have to change rooms mid stay until check in at 11pm, staff were unhelpful with guiding us to our villa, we wandered the grounds lost until a kitchen worker showed us the way. we were hounded to go to a seminar in exchange for a free massage, our dinner and show reservations were not upheld, we were wait listed and although we went to the wrong restaurant we were not guidied to the correct place next door just told we didn't have reservations and then ignored. overall unfriendly and made to feel unwelcome as we were not timeshare members by the way we were interacted with. it was obvious by the colored wristbands who was and was not members and the difference in treatment was glaringly different.

The property had good amenities and a very pmeasant staff. Would definitely recommend.

The property was clean and updated but the restaurants and food were less than desirable. Didn't appreciated that we weren't told that the resort was a Timeshare property. We checked in on Thursday and they moved us from that room to another room on Saturday so we were living out of our suitcases for 2 days. Also, the new room wasn't stocked and when I called the from desk/housekeeping I was told that I'd have to wait 3 hours. The food at the buffet was edible but basically the same thing served every day, not too much variety at all. The manager (didn't get his name) and bartender Angel at Sidelines were awesome. The bartender Manuel at the pool bar was also AWESOME. I would NOT recommend this resort. Not much to do in the area unless you want to pay about $20 each way to get to shops etc. We did the BOGO massage deal. Not worth it in my opinion. My friend had an awesome massage. Offered alot more options than I was offered. My massage wasn't worth the $$. I won't return here.

Property was amazing - everything is good order and extremely clean

The staff were fantastic. They made it easy for transportation and overall very accommodating. The grounds were beautiful. We had room service every day and the housekeeper was very nice. The buffet was delicious and we enjoyed all of it. Our grandson and us enjoyed the games that were provided also. We definitely will be back!

The property was well maintained, great beach and pool area. Good food, great customer service.

The buffet was nothing out of this world. No mimosas at breakfast time. I was not able to drink a bottle of wine at dinner that I had bought at the store inside the hotel. This place was not for me, I like more resort style, this was like I was staying with my grandparents at their beach apartment.

I liked the pool activities and the beach access. Also the service at both the pool and beach were incredibly fast, friendly and always helpful. The restaurants were delicious and accommodating with our group. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away, relax and not worry about anything.

It is a pretty good resort as it's price. The beach is beautiful and also the view. Most of the staffs are friendly, only one of the waiter was a bit inpatient. The Food was pretty good. The buffet was just OK to be honest, but dinner is very good, specially The ones which need reservations. One downside about it was it only had very few opinions of fruits. As a resort in the torrid zone should have Way more options than that. I love the rooms. And all rooms are ocean view, impressive!

This was the first time I stayed in an all inclusive hotel.Everything was perfect. The staff was 100% accommodating from day 1.The food was great,waiters,food staff was incredible. What a class act the Royal sands is.

Young couple in 20s. Wanted a more modern room and overall updates. This is perfect for families with so age ranges but a couple looking for something more modern and romantic may look elsewhere. Food, beach and pool were amazing. Just wished rooms were more couple friendly/romantic.

They advertise food places from sister properties. I never seen that happen. Be careful when you make dinner reservations. I like the property but lack of food options is way too obvious.

The 2 bdrm suite was amazing, very spacious and clean. The resort was well maintained, pool area was great with a lot of activities. Food was good, being able to order food to the pool and/or beach was amazing. Dinners at the restaurants were good- some better than others. Having a personal concierge that I was able to text to make dinner reservations and ask questions was a nice touch. Please Note this resort is a cashless resort and you need your room card to check out of each restaurant (even the buffet) to leave an optional tip- this had both pros and cons: I liked not having to carry cash but having to wait to check out of the buffet, drink orders and all the restaurants was a little odd. No entertainment at the resort but I was not expecting any since the location and proximity to walk or take public transit to the mall ect was perfect. Overall, I would definitely go back to the Royal Sands.

If your not a member don't go here. Regular guest get treated like dirt. You get reservations only after member even if you call really early. Apparently all inclusive doesn't mean all inclusive some foods are in clouded other aren't some drinks are included others are not. If you want unfriendly and rude unacommadating staff here is the place to be! If you want to wait half hour for a straw or 90 minutes plus for your dinner go here. If you want to rind rubber bsnds, yes rubber bands in your soup definitely go here. When we reported getting the rubber band in the soup guest service said we'll there is nothing he could do. We told him we will write a review about it. He response was go right ahead do what you have to do I can't stop you! In a highly unpleasant manner. The soup was also never changed they let the guest and member continue to eat from the buffet pot. Also they reported on there website that children stay free. They don't. I had to pay for my kids. I stayed fighting with them for over 3 hours until I just paid for the kids and went about my week. Cancun was beautiful. Just don't stay at this hotel. I will be back but never to this resort even if it was the last one standing. You will get better accommodations camping on the beach!
