Starting with the good parts. The recepionist who was working on Thursday and Friday was very helpful. The bar and bar staff and drinks were wonderful. Pool area was clean. On my first night I paid €25 for the buffet dinner, a series of items that had been left out and had gone cold. I had cold wedges, cold pasta sauce and unidentified "bbq meat" followed by tasteless cake and ice cream in a plastic container. Even though I had already paid, the staff didn’t believe me and I had to explain twice and then go back to reception to double check. The restaurant staff didn’t come to see if I wanted a drink, I had to chase them around the restaurant for a menu then again to order. They walked past me several times. Zero service. I put my do not disturb sign on my bedroom. However on Friday amd Saturday the room attendant knocked my door like there was a fire until i got up from my lounger and answered her. I was indeed disturbed, and took myself to the beach to be able to relax. I asked reception to make sure she didn’t disturb me, and this seemed to make her behaviour worse. On my last day she banged on the door 45minutes before check out until I opened it and was yelling at me that check out was at 12 and clapping her hands at me. Very aggressive. I told reception upon check out and they said they would make sure I wasn't disturbed again. I had to laugh at this point. Don't stay here unless you want to feel like a number on a conveyor belt.

Beautiful located resort close to the ocean with a beautiful pool area. The bathrooms are ready for an overhaul. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The cleanliness was excellent and the food was amazing, the pool staff were entertaining and energetic the whole day. We didn't like the expensive parking 15€ per day and on the 2nd day we reported a faulty outside light, it wasn't fixed in our 2 weelswe

Perfect holiday hotel.

The hotel is real nice overall. My bedroom was roomy, had a view of the pool, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The floor of the bathroom didn’t look very clean. It needs a deep cleaning and polishing. Towels saw better days, they have to be updated

This is our second stay at a Barcelò hotel and a second excellent trip. We had an excellent stay at the Umbria Mar! The view from our terrace was an outstanding see view with plenty of space to move around. Although the bathroom area could be updated, the whole room was very spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. All the amenities were spot on with a good size swimming pool, the most number of sunbeds I have ever seen at an hotel and the staff were incredible. Plenty of entertainment without it being pushy or over the top. As this is predominately a Spanish clientele hotel, it was very chilled out, a lot of talking and no loutish behaviour. We received a fantastic surprise from the hotel, with a birthday cake for my partner left in our room and a happy birthday message by email. Great touch and very much appreciated. Will be returning again as we loved staying here so much.

Disappointed that the is no kettle or in room tea and coffee. Directions to room confusing, hotel needs a route map, especially when disability access is required.

Amazing stay, we’re an English couple with Spanish family in the area, nothing was to much trouble, Luis in the restaurant was always so helpful, all staff very happy and always ready to help..😍

Barcelona hotels are always a favourite for us. The staff are brilliant. The service/ food choices/amenities/ entertainment programmes were just what we needed on an extended road trip.We enjoyed the lovely relaxed atmosphere at the hotel as well as its positioning in such a beautiful part of Spain. We will definitely return to this beautiful gem.

Very nice resort, with direct beach access, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent buffet for breakfast. We had a room towards the west, overlooking the pine trees, and delightful sunset every evening.

Lovely hotel - right on beach. Beautiful rooms and grounds - great pool - great food. Bar prices for soft drinks a little on expensive side.

The facilities are nice but the room wasn’t clean

Excellent weekend spent with family cannot fault anything from the moment we arrived to leaving. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel and rooms clean and tidy. The standard of food at all meals was great, choices for everyone. Great quiet location next to a stunning beach, other friends not staying there were impressed.

The good.... Excellent hotel. Very clean & comfortable rooms. High quality mattress on the beds. Staff were incredibly helpful. Could improve.... Parking was not free. Paid around 18€ for 72hrs i think. The ticket system for getting in/out was a pain. Cleaner entered & cleaned the room, despite me “fixing” the “no thanks” hanger firmly on the door. This always annoys me & makes me worry that something will be missing. I simply don’t like to pack everything away, so i keep my room clean at all times....if it needs cleaning, i put out the “please clean me” hanger! It’s simple, NO THANKYOU, means exactly that...not COME ON IN. No iron in room. No tea/coffee making set in room. No visible way of getting a coffee without paying.

Most definitely a family friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing and being on the beachfront is priceless. Highly recommend!
