Disappointing Stay – Serious Hygiene Issues at Breakfast I stayed at Villa Kastania for nearly three weeks and was deeply disappointed by the condition of the breakfast service. From the very first morning, I noticed poor-quality food at the buffet – wilted cold cuts, questionable salads, and unappetizing cheese. Cleanliness was also lacking, with tables not properly sanitized between guests. Despite limiting my food intake out of caution, I unfortunately consumed two eggs one morning that appeared fine but led to what I strongly believe was a foodborne illness. I experienced serious stomach issues for days after. Even after recovering and returning to the breakfast room, I found expired oat milk being served. When I brought this to the attention of the staff (including a manager), my concern was met with visible annoyance rather than genuine care or concern. As someone with a background in hospitality, I was shocked by the lack of basic food safety and the dismissive attitude toward guest well-being. I cannot recommend this hotel and would strongly urge management to review their hygiene protocols and customer service standards.

Really nice building, near messe and The. Ubahn. The rooms were OK, but the swimming pool and sauna was awesome. Friendly staff too.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous like it was quiet staff was super friendly and it was tucked away in a bit quieter area I was super impressed by the breakfast, gotta have the breakfast! A bit sad we didn’t get to try the wellness area which looked grandiose I would most definitely recommend and stay again! Good job villa kastania 😊

Great place in very nice neighborhood. Front desk was very kind & helpful. Nice easy walk to the Olympic Stadium & nearby restaurants Private gated parking lot was really convenient. Indoor pool facilities were a nice bonus. Highly recommend.

Superb out of central location and well priced. My only criticism is no air conditioning or fans in the room which when it’s hot, the rooms get very warm. Otherwise wonderful staff and great facilities the pool and sauna are fantastic too.

Lovely staff. Quaint and cozy. Love the little balcony too!

Missing shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom

This is a very pleasant and priately owned hotel in the western part of Berlin. Conventiently located close to many immediate walkable adventures, idealy located close to Deutsche Bahn Spandau train station and the closest subway station not even 5 minutes away. Very safe area with great little ethnic restaurants

A nice small hotel in a family neighborhood. Clean rooms, excellent beds and nice bathrooms. Well run and pleasant front desk. Good for business but few amenities. Ideal for Messe a 15 minute easy walk.

This place my favorite. Best part the pool

from the moment I walked in and was greeted by Thornton, I knew the stay was going to be memorable. Room was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Messe where I had to go. Breakfast was very nice and could sit outside to enjoy the meal.

This was a very welcoming establishment. Front desk person was extremely helpful. Highly recommend if only for the double headed shower 😉

Hotel and people are really nice and it was a very nice place to stay quiet outside of the downtown easy to access everything and if we are coming back I will stay again at the same hotel

It was extremely hot and we only had a small fan in the room. The fridge wasnt working properly and we were told to put a few drinks in it cause its a camper fridge and not to open it many times. The rooms arent sound proof you can hear everything that happens on rooms opposite yours. The pool was broke on arrival and was fixed a week later when we had a couple of days left.

The place was quiet and relaxing with generous and kind staff.
