Loved this Hotel! My daughter and I stayed here for a dance competition. It was clean and spacious. The hot pools were very enjoyable and free smores at night were a great bonus! Beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was really good! I highly recommend getting a cappuccino at the happy camper cafe…delicious.

Breakfest was fantastic… this was part 1 of our honeymoon and we loved it!! On to Mexico!

Wonderful staff

Oh I don’t have enough good words to say about this lovely place. The staff was so sweet, friendly yet professional, willing to help, and genuine. The room was impeccable and room cleaning was great. Located a bit further down on the main street, the 20 minutes walk does require some steps to reach back but it’s worth it all. I would highly recommend Canalta Lodge, anytime!

One of the coziest stay we had in banff. Staff were were appreciative and attentive and everone was very nice and polite. Could not have imagined a better stay. We will be booking and staying again in the future. Thank you ver much Canalta !

Lovely basic + hotel right in Banff, it was a longer walk to "downtown" however friends reported it was much noisier closer to the main area. Breakfast was great, staff were friendly and helpful.

We liked it so much we changed our plans and extended our stay.

Easy parking, close to everything for walking and i really enjoyed the breakfast.

While the rustic woodsy look is the norm for the area. Canalta lodge stood out.

We enjoyed the hotel!

Very nice spot. A bit far from the center but not as busy. Room was very nice Except that it faced into a courtyard with the hot tub and gathering area. Rooms face both into the courtyard or out to the street and The music on the speakers went on until 11 pm the first night. People were generally considerate but I would not want to stay in a room facing inward again.

The staff was excellent! Only 3 areas of concern: The lighting in the room and bathroom was really inadequate! Especially the bathroom (decor lovely). Could use a soap holder! No instructions on how to use room thermostat! "Houseman" came and informed us we had to DEPRESS button to regulate. No instructions or placard. No instructions or placard on how to use Nespresso coffee maker! Took 2 days to finally get instructions from "houseman" for directions! Was told we could park behind lodge but not told we could use back gate (which said NO ENTRY) until we asked and was finally told we could use our droom key to access! The breakfasts were great...as was the staff.Need to update photos of rooms as thought we would be getting a Keurig coffee maker! Told the Nespresso had been added about 3 months ago.Also, the wall unit (that had controls inoperative) blasted COLD air constantly! Not sure why! It's a lovely place but disappointed in these issues. Again,the staff was wonderful!
