Bar and dining room understaffed so service was inconsistent. Food great! Latte bar closed. Shop has nice things but understaffed. Nice hot showers. And plenty towels. Outside under construction. Great view of harbor.

We stayed else where at first, but our last day we decided to change stay locations to fox lodge. It was a good decision. Although we found a open bottle of alcohol under on of our beds and we woke up with a body aches, due to beds beds being so soft. It was an amazing stay. It was clean it was roomie and conveniently located.

Location was good. Restaurant is okay but $$$. Rooms are decent. The front desk ladies were rude.

The pizza Place took over an hour to get seated ( they had empty tables while I waited). And the pizza took another 45 minutes and came out cold. Would not recommend. I was there 2 years ago, same experience.

We stayed one night after arriving in Ketchikan and when we returned from our stay on Prince of Wales, we were at another resort, but cut our stay short there and returned to Cape Fox because we enjoyed our stay there so much!! We look forward to staying here again next year!!

Checkin experience was lackluster. Housekeeping arguing with the front desk staff was a nice welcome. Finally upon checking into the room the dirty used towel in bathroom set the tone. Tram didn’t work half the time during normally scheduled hours. Shuttle driver was Overall staff was rude. Room wasn’t super clean. Location was phenomenal.

The lodge is beautiful. The Eagle's Nest is great. My only problem is that we chose this hotel for the location and the fact that they offer a tram down the hill. However, the tram wasn't working. After looking at other reviews, it seems that it hardly works. I think this should be taken out of the hotel description until it is fixed and working regularly. Don't use it as a selling point if it is not available. The hike back up to the hotel is pretty, but brutal after a long day of touring the city. It almost feels like a way to trap you up at the hotel to spend your money there. Not cool.

Customer service was non existent -except for bar staff. Had to call 4 times for pick up from airport ferry. Gift shop person was rude and frustrated because I paid for cash for a small item and not with a card. (Didnt have cash in register). Appears the place hasn’t been updated since it was built. The carpet in our room was dirty. There was orange slim in one corner of the fridge. Windows were dirty. Stay clear

The shuttle to the airport is unreliable. They told me it only runs if they have van drivers. They told me it would run at a particular time in the morning and it didn’t come until 25 minutes later resulting in us missing the airport ferry we hoped to catch. Very frustrating and stressful morning as a result of the shuttle not being available when we were expressly told it would be.

Lovely, quiet, comfortable place to stay. Not especially convenient to walking/shopping during the rare occasion that the tram was not working. We would stay here again.

no elevator to room, long wait to get cases up and down stairs and I am 82. Food served tepid, fish overcooked, eenu limited. one wine served was undrinkable. extremely steep climb up the stairs or a long wait for shuttle bus from the town to the property at top of a hill.

Booked it for the view and the convenient lodge tram down to Creek Street that is promoted on the website. The tram hasn't run in years and they are waiting for a part from Italy, so said the staff. To make up for it they run a shuttle up and down the hill. My first night I asked 2 different staff members when the shuttle stopped running and was told 10pm, 'just call when you're ready'. Walked down to town, got some dinner, and at 9:40pm I called for the shuttle now that I was ready to be picked up, as I was told was the process. Well, they'd let the driver go at 9:30 because there weren't any calls. Had to walk back up the hill and then an 82 step set of stairs in 47° drizzle. As to the airport shuttle run the last morning, both drivers said it would go at 7:20am. I'd told the desk I'd need that shuttle for a flight and they noted it in a binder. Got to the lobby at 7:15am. Manager had no idea. Luckily a maintenance guy was lingering nearby so she asked him to drive me because she didn't have a driver there. I did get to the airport and each driver was otherwise great. But take down the tram info and organize the shuttle process.
